In the neo-gothic realms of Bloomington, Indiana, Josh Kreuzman birthed the spectral music project Twice Dark in 2020. Inspired by the melancholic grandeur of decaying industrial spaces, Twice Dark weaves together goth, industrial, EBM, italodisco, deathrock, coldwave, and darkwave, capturing a haunting elegance reminiscent of a forgotten era. Post-punk.com describes Twice Dark as being, “dipped in auditory shadows and echoing with the retro resonance of the 1980s music scene...like a phantom reaching out through a fog of time.” In 2022, Kreuzman curated and released the "Midwest Gothic" compilation, a collection featuring bands from across the Midwest. The project was praised as "awesome" and "stacked with talent" by soundandshadows.com. His upcoming 2025 album, 'Telekinetic', promises to take listeners even deeper into his haunting, sonic landscapes, solidifying Twice Dark as a rising force in the world of darkwave and electronic music.
Just discovered you through this song being shared on a Discord server. I dig it a lot, and will be sharing with everyone I know. Fingers crossed your views explode!
idk how to describe it and i mean this in the nicest way possible but the way the video being amateur looking is pushing the dark sound of the song, even if it sounds super pro and clean, over to the goofy territory and i love it. What i mean is that in horror and in dark and/or edgy art, if you go far enough, the line between it being actually dark and becoming almost a parody of itself is very fine, but both worlds are great. The visual effects are just too over the place and basically too much, again i love it. I'm guessing the intent of the song+video wasn't to be fun at its core, but it's what i've been finding the most interesting and appealing to me.
Sorry i missed this when it was posted. Thank you for your carefule constructive criticism. It's very kind of you and I just used what I had and I try not to take myself too seriously. I'm extremely amateur with my video crafting skills so I end up just throwing all kinds of ideas into a video without much thought to a cohesive narrative. I just think of the lyrics and create whatever comes to mind in that moment.
Another cool song from the current EP. I also notice your clear and clean pronunciation here. Listening to your voice is pleasant because everything is so understandable. The video shows your ingenuity as it is very artistically designed. Excellent work !!
Yes, her video work is great. I actually added my demos underneath the live video sound to give these videos some more punch. I think it sounds a lot better than past live show recordings I've posted. Thanks for your support as always
I was at this show! You were rad. I just shared this video with my ex, who is a Sisters of Mercy fan and will like your stuff too. Our daughter might, even!
