I wish people would stop adding music to their videos. You need to try and capture everyone who tunes into your channel. If they don't like the music they are not going to watch or check out other videos. Stop adding music and your channel will grow. Promise.
I love watching these Aloha fishing videos I like to see you guys cast those big reels I have two TLD 25 Shimano reels and a Penn senator 4 0 on 13 ft meethunter heavy action rods , I'm learning how to cast them pretty far out , no bad birdnest yet . But I love you guys' videos

For live bait the best are cigar minnows or herring. The best artificial would be a size 14 X-rap, color glass minow or white ghost. Make sure to use a metal leader. Tight lines

Sean Woodburn hows it going! I unfortunately don’t live in Hawaii, but I have all my gear still. I’m actually looking at moving to Florida, so hopefully I’ll get more videos out there. There are casting competitions, but we don’t do them. We just try and cast as far as we can from the rocks to get past the ledges. We use Talon 62 XXH or Big Island Special 13’ XXH matched with a Newell S550 or S546 with 80# mono and 250# Shock Leader 🤙 I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything in a long time. @@ShakaOutdoors Thanks for the reply! Take that gear shark fishing!! I am very familiar with Talon and Newell speaks for itself. G reat stuff to be sure. I use a very similar rig for oversize sturgeon that you use for Ulua. Breakaway HDX-T Rod that is very similar to your Talon. I use either Daiwa SLX-SHA50 or Penn Senator 4/0 because the cast so well with heavy line and have harness lugs. We are targeting sturgeon over 10 feet from shore. I am sliding my baits. Do you have a source of gear in Fl. yet? I can hook you up with the right suppliers.
I’m apart of Tram Breakaway here in Texas, I’m very aware of what the Breakaway HD-X can do as I have one that I put a 50W on. The big difference between the Talon/Big Island Special, is that you can sit on the rod and make it bend at a near 90 degree angle to boost the fish straight up. The HD-X will snap under that kind of pressure and even Nick Meyer says that it’s not supposed to bow like that. When I move to Florida I’m gonna use it for the mullet/ Blacktip run. I’ll be doing a lot of shoreline fishing, but my goal is to get on a commercial fishing boat or some kind of charter.
I’m also getting into building rods, so I build my own smaller stuff, but I’d working on building a boat rod rn. So we will see how everything goes in the coming months. I do need new cameras and a new computer to run better editing software
