Hello, one question, did you cover any parts? I saw another video and that person covered the alternator and the belt. I want to clean my engine bay but I'm not too sure on how to proceed!?!.
@mands03 No. Most of the items under the hood are water resistant. Not, water proof. So you don't want to use high pressure or over saturate those areas.
Does this work for 2013 Accord EX-L? I see videos of people with one screen. I have two. Will it work for me as well and I plan on installing a touchscreen aftermarket unit.
VERY GOOD VIDEO -- Thank you! I have an older 9.0 that is gray, has a black bottom, has blue zippers, and pink piping at both ends. I love it. It is showing wear, and I started to look at Oggi. I got my original one for about $90.00 US... 10? years ago. Now (summer of 2024) the price is $199.99 US...not much difference, except the zipper pulls. The inside window square I believe is for an ID card.
Does anybody know what is causing burn-in ghosting at the edges of display even in matter of minutes in Samsung Galaxy Book Ion np950xcj? QLED is supposed to be resistant to burn in. Display edges also suffer from purple tint. Can it get worse over years of use and is it expensive to fix?
Dear Robert, i apologize and im sincerely sorry that i didnt ask permission to watch you please dont curse me or give me any bad luck thank you for letting me view you in this video i respect your powers and wishes have a great day and night
If it's a 2013 to 2017 Sport model, you can buy the Metra 99-7804 kit. It will allow you to install an aftermarket head unit while retaining the iMid display. Unfortunately you will lose most factory features of the iMid such as gas mileage, trip and etc. If I remember correctly, it will only display the clock, backup camera, and some menu settings on the iMid. This is why most of us just buried the head unit in the dash. Not to mention the Metra kit was extremely buggy. I think they've finally worked all of the kinks out of it.
When you are watching tv will the reverse and lane watch interrupt the signal or does it have to be on the source for the factory head unit? Forgive me if you answered this?
I know this video is 3 years old but agree about the Honda Accord Sport. I bought a 2016 Honda Accord Sport 7 months ago from Burns Honda in Marlton, NJ and I’m glad I did. It only had 96,000 miles on it and runs like an ingersol watch. The only thing I did to mine was change the headlights, break lights and backup lights to led. I love this car. I’m never getting rid of it. I’ve had 0 issues with the car. We have a 21 Camry Nightshade but we always take my car out driving. We use it 7 days a week. I use it for work M-F and go cruising around all weekend with it. Love that car. I agree the stereo really sucks in the car and I’ll probably up grade later. Thank you so much for your video. I hope your still enjoying you Accord.
Hey John! I have a 2015 with the nav. Would I be able to make use of the Naviks interface without upgrading the head unit? Would it be a simple plug and play?
The Naviks unit hooks up between the factory headunit harness and the iMid screen. So the answer is yes. It's worth noting that the Navik does not support audio only video. I plugged a usb dac into my Nvidia Shield and used Kenwoods aux cable to port the audio into the headunit.
When you bury the factory head unit and have to change the battery? How do you enter the code in the OEM head unit? Or it doesn't matter for the second display?
Is there anyway I can reach out to Broly ? I have a 2016 Honda Accord ex coupe And a Kenwood dmx470s The installer Installed it with the metric it and my back up camera and Blindspot camera and SWC don’t work. So I’m puzzled I think he don’t know what he was doing. so none of that works prior to the Kenwood I had a Honda touchscreen factory radio
Sounds like they didn't hook it up correctly. Broly commented on this video 3yrs ago (it's the next post under this one). User name is @MrBroly10000. Also, his email is (or was) broly10000@hotmail.com.
