The biggest problem with western news media for me is that it’s not beholden to the truth, it’s beholden to advertisers and lobbyists. So of course, in an ideal world we want a free press, but in an ideal world we would be printing facts, not propaganda…

The "Free Press" in the west may be "free to say whatever they want", but they are not being truthful and accountable as journalists. Just because the press is free doesn't make them truthful or good journalists. So, there needs to be a balance between freedom and accountability and truthfulness.
