Translation: It is very, very nice to play at the Culture Festival again. We had our first big show in Gothenburg at a Culture Festival many, many years ago out on Bananpiren (a venue in Gothenburg). Then we had... I think it was the last time I got to be on stage looking like a decent person, over there on Kungstorget, at the Culture Festival playing... I tipped over something expensive that day, but it was fun anyway. But it's very nice to get to play at such an iconic place... I'm so fucking out of breath... as Götaplatsen. And it's very nice that there are so many people that don't entirely feel like decent people, that therefore has the good decency to to share something like this with us. It feels very special that there are this many people in this city that don't really care if people say "What the fuck, you look like a freakshow". And when they hear your music they say it sounds like a freakshow. But you respond "Of course it does, that's the whole fucking point. But what you're missing if you never dare to get close enough, never dare to find out what it's really about, if you're never face to face with me, then you're missing my favorite part" Do you know what that is? *SNIFF* This segue works better in english because this is SMELLS LIKE A FREAKSHOW!!!
Great opening frm Clandestine album which is also killer but, the miming here is a real downer! It's hard to swallow that a band like Entombed have bowed down to T.V Executives's orders to not to play a real live set! Pathetic music business rule! At least Iron Maiden stood up and took the piss of tv producers in Germany!
I totally agree. Its interesting how this more agressive type of sound was born out of the unexpected breakup of Agalloch ( who I feel like where just starting to get even more experimental with their 5th album ) and then this band had a equally unexpected even shorter lived lifespan.
THIS CONCERT IS JUST A GREAT THING TO SEE BECAUSE THE GUYS IN THE BAND ARE NOT WORRIED IF THEY SAY SOMETHING WRONG. I MENTION THAT BECAUSE SOMEBODY I KNOW HAD BEEN WORRIED THAT IF THEY WERE TO JUST REALLY LET LOOSE AND SPEAK THEIR MIND, MAYBE THEIR FAMILY WOULD ACTUALLY DISOWN THEM.
I CAN'T HELP BUT FOCUS ON Martin Persner AND HIS GUITAR prowess. HE HAD BEEN OMEGA IN GHOST. AND, YES, THE BAND GHOST HAS HAD MANY GHOULS AFTER OMEGA, BUT, NONE OF THOSE GHOULS HAVE BEEN SPECIAL LIKE HE HAD BEEN. SURE, I MAY COME ACROSS AS A SEMI STALKER. BUT, I LOVE OMEGA ENOUGH TO NOT ACTUALLY STALK HIM. ANYWAY MCC IS WHERE TO HEAR Martin MAKE MUSIC, AND IN CASE ANYONE HAS not HEARD MARTIN SING ON THE VIDEO OF "TRIESTE" BY NOVARUPTA. MARTIN, IS AN OMEGA TALENTED DUDE. AND, ON THAT SONG "TRIESTE" MARTIN ADDS VOCALS, AND HE IS NOT JUST SOME SLOUCH THAT MAYBE THESE BANDS JUST HIRED TO MAKE SOME NOISE. MARTIN IS A OMEGA TALENTED GUY. TOBIAS REALLY f*CKED UP BY not APPRECIATING OMEGA. OKAY, I WILL TRY TO NOT BE ALL ABOUT Omega.
