My name is deals and I have a message to the council….. can we please improve the sidewalks downtown, my dad went out to get us milk and we haven’t seen him since. I know down by the klines Ice cream they sidewalk has big gaps in between them and I’m really afraid he might of fell in. My mom keeps saying it’s for a season but the chocolate milk man just keeps coming over for supper he hits me harder than dad did. I really wish we can fix the holes and find my daddy. My cereal is getting really dry.

Yet won't talk about how bad their public servers are.police,fire fires, and correctional officers they all are wasting city's and voulhoum money in a terrific way. But all is management by a really bad upper office filled with lies and corruption to my opinion and the way I see it. harrisonburg has a big problem of unemployment consentraited in one area of downtown where the overfilled shelters can't booked all the many of their own people, all of it for the same reason the city, the county, the whole valley and state has been dying slowly and painfull Eidemic use of Methanphetamine filling the same people's wallets since decades back, and killing their own community for decades now.
The answer to this question depends on what you consider “dead”. I would say Harrisonburg is definitely not dead, it depends on how you want to live and what you want to do.
I grew up on Pike church road in Harrisonburg in the 1980s and the 1990s but I moved away in 2000 when I was 18. It has changed a lot since my growing up years. It's not the same place anymore. I haven't been back to visit since 2010 but in just that 10 years it changed so much. Too many damn Yankees and tourists
I have always been a fan of this team. I'm very happy to see them get some time in the spotlight. I've always said that the great telecommunicators just can't be taught to be great. They can be trained to be good , but the really great ones just get it and they shine. There's no place for them to hide their miscues like may other public safety personnel so they sometimes are treated a little harsh. Having spent a lot of time with many of them over the past few decades, I can tell you that they are dedicated to doing their best. If you're in public safety, tell them "Thank you" sometime. Congratulations to a team that I am proud to have worked with over the years.
