If I may give you some tips: - Bikes only get blue drifts in this game, so there is no reason to hold it longer than needed - You want to try to always be either drifting or wheelie-ing (You can do so by lifting up your Wii-Remote) in order to maximize speed - The boost you got at 00:55 was due to slipstream. If you are behind another Kart/bike for a longer time you will get that speed bost - The thing that hit you at 1:26 is a pow block. It can be dodged by being in the air or have its effect weakened by shaking your Wii-remote when the third pulse happens. Every character that is ahead of the person, who used the pow block will be affected by it In addition Luigi with the Medi-Bike isn't an optimal combo since it used outside drift. Many people prefer to have a bike with inside drift. Best ones to use would be Flamerunner for big characters, Mach Bike for medium characters or the bullet bike for small characters. Maybe you could try it out and see what you feel most comfortable with :) Hope i was able to help you with that. Mario Kart Wii is a great game and to this day has a big community supporting it.
