I use to work on the salad and deli at morrisons years back and the way people treat them tongs, pick stuff up and put it back, and even try eating the food and then putting it back, id rather pay more for the package

I've seen a few of these videos. This bloke is obviously taking the piss. Im surprised he didn't claim to have picked the spaghetti from the spaghetti tree in his garden.
‘Preventing food waste’ … actually no, by going for the stuff at the back you’re more likely causing more food waste as the ‘older’ items would then be chucked due to everyone getting the ‘fresher’ items. If anything, advocate the buying of the older stock so less goes to waste
Those noodles are god awful, instead of buying cheese, beans and shitty noods, just buy shin ramen for a pound in B&M or for £1.50 in asda, and have that as a meal, save yourself money whilst eating much tastier food. Then you can treat yourself when you have the broth left over by cracking in an egg or 2, and chucking it in the microwave for 3 minutes to get yourself a korean steamed egg, wether you do the steamed egg or not, it’s still filling and will taste much better than those everyday essentials noodles whilst still being much cheaper. Or another recipe that’s still cheap, filling but doesn’t taste like crap, have a slice or two of toast, that you’ve rubbed a cut clove of garlic on, then some slices of tomatoes (preferably the larger vine ripened or “salad tomatoes”) and a good pinch of salt to bring out the flavour, and if yoy want to spend a little extra, top with dried oregano and a drizzle of ev olive oil but even without, it’ll still be filling and taste good
