I spent about 8 weeks on it while it was under repairs in Rotterdam,the Netherlands,(Verolme,now Damen shipyard dock)Working as a fitter.Somewhere in 2008.Rig was at maximum height..They lifted us in baskets with crane few times a day because the elevator was also under repair.After 13 years it's nice to see this video.Bring some memories.

I was there on behalf of the insurance company. 200 hundred feet hight structure, and I had to climb two times from the dock to the top. I was on the bridge with the owners representative, captain, and loading master during the load out and shifting the unit forward. All worked out fine.
@Tip Toe Yes sir, 200 feet high iron. I had to climb two times to the top for checking the security of special loose machinery. I met the Shenzi in Ingleside, Texas 3 months later. - I have had another nice experience as we hauled 3 LeTourneau jack-up rigs from Pascagoula, Ms. to Dubai, UAE. on the Black Marlin. Rig legs were over 500 feet high. 3 months sailing with the rigs, then took them off in Persian Gulf
Oh no shit? That’s awesome. I was just a roustabout at the time. Stuck down at the bottom of the hull needle gunning. I was only there for a hitch then they moved me to the EXL III. Then I was promoted to the 204 just as a floor hand though.
I mind that , I was working a shitty job driving past it every morning dreaming of getting a job offshore. I just got back from my from trip offshore and low and behold it was on this rig the RG7
Impressive. the sheer size of d TLP did not intimidate the lowly "Mighty Servant" Good job Dockwise. Would start an offshore service career any moment.
