With the mulching teeth, how much of a stump is left above grade? Does it grind down flush with the ground or does it leave an inch or two? I ask because I would like to eventually use a zero turn mower once the grass grows back. Thanks.

I have a quick question. How come you put the fuel filter after the new fuel pump? Wouldn’t having the fuel hit the fuel filter before the pump help keep debris from entering the pump? I enjoyed the video and thanks for making it man.
The nv4500 is a very good trans and it came in not only dodge but gm products. The only real weak point it 5th gear and 90 percent of issues are with the diesel when doing alot of lugging the engine in 5th gear. Got my 98 dodge fairly cheap cause 5th gear was gone. Replaced 5th gear about 10 ys ago in 1 day with soecial retainer and has served me very well ever since.
That is the same setup as a stump grinder. The cutter wheel should be going from top to bottom while starting X inches in and then backing out a bit as you go down.
Would it not of been more cost effective for the property owner to just have the Fecon mulching machine do the whole job. It’s only one acre. A good operator with a 90 hp or larger machine should be able to tackle that whole job in a long day.
I have a 2500, same year, motor trans. 60/82 turbo. I tow 13,500lb (scrap metal) from time to time. Looks like your truck handles that ok. My truck will struggle a little. 43% throttle to hold 60 mph up a steep grade (also making 38psi boost). I typically weight in at 20,000-21,000 lb truck-trailer-load.
Is it because the engine power is insufficient or because the motor flow of the grinder shaft is insufficient? Can you tell me the motor flow of the grinder shaft?
That thing looks like it really struggles cutting those tiny trees . You should watch the videos about blue dimond, I haven't seen anything yet that comes close to that beast . I'm buying one soon .
Videos are deceiving blue diamond aren’t worth the money but spend yours however you want we’ve owned 2 of these cutters now and we love them can’t beat it for 6500 shipped to your door
@floridafenceland1137 I've used many brush mowers, and I've never seen anything close to those beasts . You get what you pay for and it's ok to admit defeat 👌
Thats a really nice rig. I Missed out on getting one for 10-k but someone beat me to it. I ended up getting a 99 2500 With a service body and a tommy lift gare. Has almost 500-k miles , needs a rebuild and the 47 RE is tempermemtal like PMS temper-mental so I have a NV 4500 set up on a pallet waiting to be mated to my rebuilt 24 valve. Im runnjng a P pump on my 24 valve.
Gonna find me one of these some day. From what it looks like, these trucks are actually smaller than the modern ram 3500s and even smaller than today's 2500s. These things are also great on fuel surprisingly enough, at least in my case, I drive a lot for work.
Is the half pad a custom made shape? I’ve got an English shaped gel half pad covered with sheepskin under my saddle. It raises the saddle up quite a bit but seems to fill in any gaps between the saddle and the blanket
