I just occurred to me. From Mohxy's POV, he gets fired on by an ATGM and the APS system audibly starts freaking out. He narrowly pops smoke and avoids it. The ATGM you kill as it's firing may have been the same ATGM, and you may have saved his ass.
There wasn't enough good footage of it (and also numerous technical issues from a script POV) but here's what was happening to those who might be confused. I plagiarized the Sinfaxi's weapon when making this mission. :) However, there's a catch. There's TWO types of missiles. One is a burst missile that kills all aircraft flying under 2000 meters. The other is a missile that fragments into AA missiles that lock everything _over 200_ meters instead. The exploding missile is cordium. The cluster AA has no cordium, and lacks a thermal signature. The problem was the op crashed because the first missile launch caused a memory leak and had to be hotfixed between rounds. Basically I made a deadly game of Simon Says.
Think this might be your best work yet. The moment the music kicked in when Ace says you've got the attack order at 12:30 actually sent a tingle up my spine. Your timing with the music to fit what's going on, as well as the changes in the operation, really added to the whole thing. I can tell you're having a lot of fun making these and I sincerely implore you to keep it going. Very well done on all of this.
It wasn't in the video since the timing didn't line up with the footage, but the in-game track everybody had as they circled above was _"Fighter's Honor" + "Fighter's Honor (Flying Remix)" Extended - Ace Combat 3D Cross Rumble_ which you can find on RU-vid. At around the five and a half minute mark is when I give the order, "All aircraft! Engage!" So they charged into battle to that tune. Try to envision it. It was epic. 😎
This remains one of the best missions we've done in this campaign so far. I'm glad everyone was able to get through it. Performance was a serious concern.
