----------------------------------- I hope I share here my own audio or rare recordings different from those that can be found on this site. The quality is not the one of a recording studio but I hope one can find what makes the opera what it really is: live on stage. MY CHANNEL IS FREE AND IS NOT MONETIZED.
Such incredibly beautiful singing! 😍 ...And, completely without egoism! Such a down to earth person! Just, singing for love of music as the art form. Brava! Thanks for posting this! Susan
Nous sommes bien loin de la qualité de Georges Thill. Le grasseyement d'Alagna m'est insupportable et son placement de la voix change selon le registre.
This is my favorite aria of all time!!?, and Dmitri delivers it here with such delicious evilness!!! He is supreme in my book, never to be surpassed!!! I can listen to him all day, which I do quite often!!! May he live forever in hearts of those who love him!!!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥😊
I got hooked on this aria when John Reardon came to Madison to sing it , but not nearly as electrifyingly as Dmitri’s interpretation! No one can surpass this interpretation!!!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Dmitri is fabulous even if he doesn't have the biggest sounding baritone voice like some some historically great Scarpias. When acting the role on stage, his menacing, sexual look would contribute all the more to a great characterization of Scarpia, Chief of the Rome Police, probably exactly what Puccini wanted. Dmitri = the best looking Scarpia of all time. He could get anyone interest in Tosca, the opera. An awesome man and singer. May 12, 2024
Una furtiva lagrima is beautifully positioned by the greatest tenor, Luciano Pavarotti...those notes forever floating floating floating. The Golden Age of Opera. What a time that will not happen as then and always missed. Exordinary time to be in the opera houses and how Pavarotti put TENOR on the world lips. Pavarotti 'La Forza del Destino!' Grazie, Maestro, and let the heavens sing to ring Bella Voce!
Ce soir là, les râleurs étaient restés chez eux! Très belle ovation pleine de chaleur pour le magnifique ténor qu’est Roberto Alagna! Je ne me lasse pas de l’écouter…
Nobody sings it like hvorostovsky but Jonas Kaufman might be his equal. Hvorostovsky had an energy...a spirit..I can't put it into words. Kaufman has that same strength you can feel.
