On this channel, you are likely to see mostly passing trains, mostly through Gaffney, South Carolina (milepost 432.5 on the NS Charlotte District), and possibly other localities around Upstate South Carolina, as they are the only remaining interest I have left. That being said, the trains are the stars of my videos, meaning that, while you may hear my voice in the background from time to time, you will NEVER see my ugly face on camera on this channel, or anywhere else.

Congratulations on your first sighing of the Conrail heritage unit! I unfortunately didn't get to see 282. Eh, oh well. I've seen the Conrail 3 times, so it's no big deal to me.
By the way, to any viewers unfamiliar with railroad jargon, "knocking down" the signal is just the term for passing a green signal changing to red as the train passes. They aren't literally knocking down the signal mast.
I really like how you stayed focused in one spot. We see the headlight refect in the windows across the tracks before we see the train itself. That and the horn build tension to good effect.

That's what I was figuring, but didn't want to say anything in case it wasn't. That's why I don't like train watching without my scanner. Gaffney sits right smack dab between two defect detectors, Blacksburg at MP 427.0 and Thicketty at MP 437.6, so when I have my scanner, I know when they're coming.
Good to know. Couldn't find anything in regards to it anywhere. Is it a daily run or does it only do certain days? Still trying to learn the schedule down here in Gaffney.
I wish they could have the new Siemens Charger Diesel Locomotives leading on the Crescent, I think it would be so cool to have it leading on the Crescent, looks like the Crescent had an extra passenger car in the consist as well
