Hi guys! My name is Shanna and we are a homeschooling family of 4 who loves to take the kids and get out! We are here to show what we have learned and are learning along the way to help encourage you in your family travels. We know that doing anything with kids is never easy. We hope by sharing that we can help you to have more fun with your family. We hope to help you find more value in the dollars that you are spending. We hope to help you do it all with a little bit less stress. We have a passion for taking our Suitcase Princesses into the world and by saving money along the way, we can do fun stuff more often. Be sure to follow our Homeschooling Channel that makes travel a bit easier over at Making Everyday Magic.
You can find the DW packages here: disneyworld.disney.go.com/shops/magic-kingdom/bibbidi-bobbidi-boutique-park/ I don't remember how much just dresses were. I want to say about $60.
I have a 6&3yr old, Where is the best place to grab a table in Galveston or does it matter? Can you wear hats Down the rides? I also can’t find the spot on the site that tells what rides are closed.
We like to set up right inside the entrance by the wave pool entrance, under the cover. Yes to hats. The operating calendar will tell you which sections are open. They're not great about sharing daily ride operations beyond the board as you walk in. It mostly depends on staffing. www.schlitterbahn.com/galveston/schedule
Im planning a trip to Galveston soon..I had no idea moody gardens had a waterpark..Ive never been to Schlitterbahn Galveston but this is the year..I know that it doesn't compare to new braunfels that park is a monster in size..But ive been wanting to visit because since im a Schlitterbahn employee i use my badge to enter..Fun Fact. I usually walk between parks since when i get off work i hate waiting for the bus to come pick us up.😮 Takes about 20 minutes
This year 2024 only the first weekend (April 20th)will be blast and surf but on the 27th it will be full park going forward.. Don't know about the falls..I'm being told depending on scheduling and call ins etc..Also most employees are still in school..
The new area is almost done and on schedule also hillside we will be testing this week😊..And scheduled to open as soon as main park is opened. Also no more Blast pass for it will now be called "fast lane"which is what it is called at the other cedar fair properties..It's gonna be a fun season
It really depends on the day. I would check the local weather day of. Right now it's a bit warm. I would assume that it will feel about 10 degrees cooler with the wide open spaces and breeze from the bay.
If you had to choose galaxy lights or zoo lights, which would you pick?? We have never went to either. Do you also get to see the animals at zoo lights?
It really depends on the interests of your family. We've done both this year so far, Zoo Lights is better this year. I have reels on my ig if you wanna check it out. instagram.com/makingeverydaymagic?igshid=MTNiYzNiMzkwZA==
THANK YOU so much for this video. We are having that dilemma where we'll be on a Southwest Flight from Chicago to Orlando when the virtual queue and lightning lanes open up. I was so worried that we would not be able to get on to get spots for my family. You have answered ALL the questions I had and now I will have a game plan! Thank you so much!!
I am heading to Disney November 8 to the 14th. It’s coming up in just a couple of days. I originally booked this trip just me and my five-year-old. He turns five during the trip. I didn’t feel comfortable with constantly a happy to ask someone to take our picture all the time and make sure that the picture was even good enough And that really stressed me out so of course I bought this package for our entire trip. My mom has now decided to join us a month before the trip and I have bought this with her on the trip maybe not but I’m still glad I did because it then will allow for the three of us to be in photos together. I only worry because my sonis the type where he’s saying cheese and he’s looking at the camera but his eyes are looking somewhere else. I just worry that I’m gonna end up with a bunch of photos where he’s not looking.
Thank you for your video. You’ve convinced me to wait it out for Black Friday Deals. We’re planning on going January too so might as well wait. Hopefully I get a big savings too.
Hey there, I just attempted to “practice” reserve royal table for my 60 days out in about a week. I hit refresh exactly at 6 am and they we’re gone. Do you have any tips on how to have the best chance? Like constantly start refreshing at 5:59 or does searching availability in dining in general versus going to the restaurants page specifically give you better chance? Anything at all would help.
The reservations won't show available to you for your dates until the 60 day mark (plus how many days you're staying on property.) If you're trying now, keep in mind that people have been able to book them for 10 days already even though they "just" opened up. My best tips are to be refreshing the screen 20 minutes early because sometimes it does open before the time. I also have another video that might help.
It was better when I was a kid (born 91) was like one big explorable pool with waterfalls connecting everything. The octopus/submarine thing with a bunch of slides which they got rid of. Was a fun place to hang out not a wannabe water park.
I learned very early on to expect unexpected experiences with travel, so I always make sure I have a generous slush fund that isn't for the trip. We've had a flat tire, had to rent a car and drive home when a flight was canceled, two trips to the hospital, and we needed an antibiotic while outside the country. Life is always filled with unexpected adventures. 😂
If you time it right and are there at opening. They really do have so many things to do. Several kinds of movies on a schedule and the Colonel paddlewheel has a limited set schedule.
I know that the new ownership has made some changes that have ruffled a few feathers, however, I am excited to see that the older section is getting some revamping!
Agree 100%! Disney is expensive as a family you have to make the choices that work best for you and your fam not what is most popular. We stay at deluxe resorts renting DVC points for less than the cost of a family suite at Art of Animation because we have a fam of 5, but we save our money doing grocery delivery and no sit down meals because thats not as important to us. It's all about balance and weighing cost/benefit. I would love to travel more but we have other financial goals so I get the whole FOMO feeling. Thanks for always keeping it real!!! We are going back to WDW in Feb if you happen to be there would love to meet you and help justify those figment purchases lol!
🤣 Figment is still lovingly carried around the house, he's now Velva. Renting DVC never worked out for me. I tried so many times! As of now, I have no plans to head back to Disney💔
Thank you for this. Next year we will take my daughter to Disney for the first time. She will be 10. This will be our only time. We won’t be doing all the things but I fully expect to have a great time. We are not into characters we are not foodies but we do love shows and rides and snacks.
So many people get caught up in the disney vacations of others that they genuinely wind up hating the process and even the trip. Don't stress about what you're not doing. Believe it or not, tons of people have no interest in Star Wars and still stress about signing up and paying $$$$ to build a light Saber. 🤯
@@SuitcasePrincess that is crazy. We like Star Wars but I can’t imagine my daughter playing with it once we get home so there is no point in getting one. Our money will be better spent on things she will play with at home.
Usually river is open all of July as well as the falls...it takes alot of staffing so Usually by the first week in August it will not be open due to many leaving for school etc..I have worked here for 3 summers so Usually that's the way it works out
