@@ZarzoHd i think it has to do with the fact that you can only use the views from the discord in the "scouted players" tab in your scouting hub. Can you ask in the discord with @everyone maybe someone can help you, i am current not able to log into fm due to vacation :)
This is a very unique and solid way to find players and implement a moneyball style of squad building. However one big limitation I see is it does not account for the potential of a player. E.g. your excel says player XYZ is only the 4th or 5th best for that role at your club but he might turn into a much better player after 3-5 years of development.
You're right! Since the release of this video I have updated the Excel file a lot. It now also includes the ages of the players, their contract and personalities. I have also added a certain rating the players can grow from their age. So let's say a player is 18 years old, from 18-21 I expect him to grow for another 3 points. Meaning a 12 at age 18, could be a 15 at age 21. That way you can much more easely calculated if a player actually makes it. Besides that I have noticed that personalities have a big role in the game and I use the in-game potential ability a lot to determine. Ofcourse you're gonna miss out on some wonderkids this way, but at least you wont miss the absolute top ones!
You didn’t tell us what data you were looking at? Certain attribute, analytics reports? What did you base your signings off? Just genuine questions no hate intended.
@@dannyboy1066 Dont worry I dont see your comment as hate! These are good questions and I dont mind answering! If you go to the description of the video you will find a link to a video where I explain where the data comes from and how you can also do this for your own team save/team!
Question: How should I decide what league my players are ready for. For example, if I’m in the Bundesliga, should I look for it to say he’s a “good player for most Bundesliga sides” or “leading player”?
Like I show in the video it really doesnt matter in which league you loan out the player. Since the Vanarama National player improves the most! The most important thing to take into consideration when loaning out players is the playing time they are getting and the training facilities at that club! So for example you can loan him out to 3. Liga of 2. Bundesliga. Then just check which has the better training facilities and which can offer better playing time. Only when you're in the late game you need to keep in mind the level op the competition. For example when you have a elite player who wants to be loaned out. If you would still want him to develop, make sure he plays on the highest level possible. I would recommend if a player is ''elite'' then loan him out to clubs in the Champions League. (Or CL caliber clubs in the Europa League etc)
@@GerS1182 Thats me! Thats the excel file you need to and also the one I show in episode 1! If you follow the link in the description you willl find the video where I explain how to use it
Hi, I'm new sub here. I binge watching your series just now but I'm a bit curious. Do you use team editor? Since u sell McTominay to Juve, but here he shows up again. Thank u
Damn Matthew, love to hear that you watched all of it! This thursday I will release a new series! I dont use team editor no, if i remember correctly I bought him back for 20m less. Also pretty sure I show that in one of these episodes, so maybe you missed it?
Did you edit and equalize the coaching staff at the clubs as well? Do the match ratings affect development or it doesn't matter whether the player gets 7 or 5?
No coaching staff was random. This test was only for the lebel of the league. However i did simulate this experiment 15 times and this example was the most general one I found. Also did not factor in the match ratings since they are very hard to edit. However, if you look through the video you find that match rating doesnt matter as much as the training facilities and the level of the league only matters after a player reached a certain level.
the main problem i was having was player morale. The AssMan doesnt talk to the players or reassure them or any of that stuff. Ruined all the playthroughs i tried
@@kylewilliams2482 Hmm yea that might not be possible. Because morale is something you have to do. So I dont think you all 100% play as a DOF unfortunately :(
Def a fun way of something I generally do manually although I generally count Green as 200% and Blue as 100% just because it makes it easier to do when I'm comparing the players on the compare player screen. I agree with the other people that say Moneyball is a term that's kind of reserved for those who do hidden attributes and stats only saves. That community is pretty dedicated but they exsist and have been around for awhile. If anything I'd say this is idk just Attribute Analysis. Or Data Driven FM! for a more marketable name. As for data though, I'd suggest weighing the physical attributes for outfielders higher than tech or mentals because it's been shown (at least for mid and attacking players when paired with certain helpful attributes like work rate and dribbling) to have a multiplicative effect that makes the guide of the greens and the blues to be just that. A guide. The engine still gives priority to players who can GET THERE on the pitch to put their talents into effect over more talented players who can't or won't do so as often.
I understand where everyone is coming from with the Moneyball. And i suppose it is just a matter of preference how to name it. Althought I understand the community in fm is pretty hardcore when it comes to 'moneyball'. Anyway, thanks for the reply! I made the Excel sheet adjustable to everyone can put their own perspective into the data sheet. I agree that maybe physicals should be rated higher than technicals! Also whats the difference to put the blues to 50 and green to 100? I believe that they both matter a lot but i recon the physicals are the most important since gegenpress became so OP in FM. Once again big THANKS for the reply. Always interesting to hear what others think!
@@UnskilFM Your suggestion give me an idea. What I did was I added another manager to the game, as 'unemployed'. Now with this deadbeat manager I can go to the fixture list and click to 'attend' the games of my team while my real manager (or the Director of Football as we like to think of him) is on 1 day vacay. It works perfectly and there's less hassle than fire and hire constantly!
