Considering you liked Being Lolita, you might like My Dark Vanessa! It’s a fiction book about a woman looking back on an inappropriate relationship with her teacher years later, after he gets accused of rape by another student.
Idk if watching a book unboxing cures my book buying urge or fuels it x) but so aesthetic and I also still have George Orwells books on the shelf so gonna pick one of them up next since you mentioned it 🩷
Nice to catch your channel in my recommended, and seems like you love your kindle! I personally want a kobo, because there are things missing from the Kindles that kobo does; but also I don’t or didn’t add too many books into the amazon kindle ecosystem. I dislike that at least from what i know, kindle will be coming out later with this feature when they could’ve come up with it on their own much earlier; but kobo has color. I don’t care if the rest don’t always have color, it’s nice to see for different color schemes of books. Also annotating with color or b/w, and doing it within the pages; but also it takes away from ruining or adding too much tabs on your books original copies. Only exception for me is the author writing in Your copy!! It erks me a lot to do it in pencil or pen, especially pencil; because it takes time to erase while potentially ruining it due to smudging. Glad it’s helping you read more or enjoy reading more, hopefully your discovering different genres. Also if you are doing it or would like to do it, there is bookathon for AAPI history month celebrating; and showing Asian representation/education to all whether it’s in your state/country or abroad in the Asian native country. Hope to watch more videos!!
Ah glad you liked it!! I actually wasn't too familiar with the kobo before purchasing the kindle, but all your points i completely agree with. Maybe down the line when my kindle is a bit more worn out i'll look into the kobo! And I had no clue about the bookathon, sucks that I wasn't aware. But ill defo look into the books listed! <3
Thank you so much! Yepp, its based on the book! Honestly, I read it a long time ago so I don't remember much about it, but a lot of people seem to like it.
