nice review, the price is going to be 280 again soon, so im looking to purchase it. but im worried my 8x10 tarp is not big enough, i got the 3 pack from costco because i originally bought a 5 person tent, which has 8x10 footprint, so the plan was, 1 under the tent to protect against rocks and branches, 1 inside the tent as flooring to protect against our own sharp objects and also our dog's nails, and 1 over the tent as extra layer rain protection in case it is heavy rain fall. but after using the tent once, we realized its too small for us, hence looking to upgrade to this one. how do u think i should do the tarps? im thinking 2 on the bottom, like ur 16x10 tarp, cover everything, then 1 for flooring inside the main living room, and just dont use any at the top for rain? or should i buy another 2 pack of 12x10 tarp, 1 for bottom, 1 for top, and use an 8x10 for flooring, and just have 2 more 8x20 for spare?
Thanks. I always ski down the blue 133, but always wondering go upper. it will be nice if we can group up for next season. Right now I've done this season as well , and preparing for camping and hiking season soon. talk to you guys next time.
Great question. I used it in a big rain at Yoho national park in late August 2020. It was cold only 5 C. The national park fire wood did not work by that time. The rain last 10 hours. At the beginning I did not put all spikes of the rain cover into ground. So there is water accumulated on top of the tent. No leaking but it make the tent shorter. After put all spikes and tight all strains. It is good.
Btw, after that trip. I put the tent up on my back yard and try to wash it with garden hose jet. One pole elastic was broken. I exchanged a new one at Canadian Tire as it is covered by warranty. And I will never wash it will garden hose again.
A trail Eagle Creek links up to is the Forget me Not run you did too that links up to Goats Eye Quad. The Forget me not through the Woods is pretty and Scenic too.
