As far as I can tell, the first person to record this song was Nancy Harmon in 1980. Janet Paschal recorded it as a member of the Rex Nelon Singers the following year. Betty Jean Robinson wrote this song though.

Of all the personnel lineups for the Stamps, this is my favorite. Jerry Trammel is a hugely underrated tenor and he and Jack Toney had a great blend. Unfortunately, this group was only together for about one year.
