This was the playthrough that got me into Okami, this game is what got me into Capcom games, this youtuber is what got me to truly love games for what they are. Thank you for making this. It truly was a blast from the past
To think this theme is but a 35-second loop! You really wouldn't guess, since it never ever gets old. Here's a testament to Nobuo Uematsu's talent. I think this works because of a funky and varied bassline. I'd go as far as to say this is a paragon of a JRPG battle theme!
It sounds like the most epic mariachi battle of all time. And now I can't get that image out of my head. This song will forever have that image inside my head every time I hear it. Good gosh.
I like how the intro starts with the guitar riff, implying we are going to get another rock-sounding version of the theme. But then the trumpet comes on. It even makes sense for the hilarity of the character. The fact that the trumpet goes hard is even more amazing.
Pixel remaster themes are a thing of beauty. Gilgamesh, Zeromus, and the holy touching Opera scene from VI now fully voiced in various languages. Spanish beings the best.
In the mobile game Kingdom Hearts Union X, a Heartless based on Gilgamesh appeared as an event boss as part of a crossover with Final Fantasy Record Keeper.
@@movinitlikedat45 So would I, dude, so would I. After all, the idea of Gilgamesh wielding a Keyblade is too appealing, even for a non-KH fan like me. But until that day happens, we'll just have to make do with Weapon Master.
@@pablomenendez2319 yeah, have him take one look at Sora or Riku and mistake him for Bartz. "BAAAAARTZ! Wait--- what's with that huge key? That's not a sword!"
Can someone tell me why during the whole game I never had a problem with double jump, but on that spiral climb, I suddenly can't get it to work at all? Literally, no response 😑 the controls in this game are an absolute disaster.
@friedtea9969 So I actually did end up beating this and I'm not totally sure what changed but here's what I know- before when I was trying to double jump, I didn't have the levitation ball power assigned to a button. I switched that for another reason later and the double jump was magically working after that. But it might not be the reason it changed? Because I also started jumping AWAY from the spiral, just slightly, rather than to the side where I knew I wanted to go, and double jump had no issues. Then it was a matter of picking the right spot to jump from and land. I also used the levitation float to slow the fall and ended up making it easier that way. Some people online told me they had better success jumping from the inside of the spiral, I didn't do much of that, sometimes it seemed to help, but its a little weird getting to the other side.
If there's one thing I'd like to hear, it's Iron Maiden doing their take on this iconic theme from FFV. I mean... Listen to this. Listen to The Trooper by Iron Maiden. Listen to this one again, and TELL ME you can't hear it.
I didn't think it was possible for this theme to sound any better but they did it. This is a perfect blend of the original chip tunes and The Black Mages version and takes the best elements of both.
The music is catchy, but going after Gilgamesh without someone having the Steal command to steal that one-of-a-kind piece of Genji equipment // Excalibur // Excali-poor that you can only get once per Gilgamesh battle and stealing it successfully was absolutely cringe-worthy!
