You are actually spot on 😉. I'm planning on doing some maintenance over this week and hopefully all gets done, but the car really needs to be tuned again. So upcoming will be some fuelling upgrades and getting the car Dyno ready, followed by Dyno runs and see what power she makes. Keep an eye out 😉

@@CARJOURNEY cool man 💪 looking forward to it... I am also doing an m50 swop into my car, the m40 was nearing a rebuild and I decided to pull the trigger... Your videos have been informative💯🙌

@@nieraazpatel2473 The M40 is a great engine but that camshafts are the only thing ruining it. I'm really happy I can help people with the videos I make, everything I'm learning I have to learn on my own so if I can help the next person, why not? But besides YT, I'm trying to find a place to source products from to sell performance parts online at decent prices for us South Africans - because it's too expensive trying to find basic things like a catch can. Also, if you get stuck anywhere you can put your questions in my videos.

@@CARJOURNEY Fury isn't too bad in terms of quality and pricing. but i hear what you are saying, things are extremely pricey, hopefully this new GNU government gives us more buying power so we can comfortably afford these parts 🤣

@@nieraazpatel2473 🤣 It should, provided the GNU works with BRICS in hand.

Well I have done it but the fan don't work .

Hi Paul, once the controller is connected and the car is idling you can adjust the trigger for when the fan goes on, but turning the mini white dial with a small flat screwdriver clockwise. From what I've noticed the dial is a bit sensitive so try to not be too rough with turning the dial

@@CARJOURNEY thanks that is correct the fan does not switch on .Tell me the out put to the fan is it going to the negative or positive. I get my 5v on the board if I test it with the multimeter but no out put power on the board to the fan .

Thanks for checking, an easy test would be to test for continuity between ground and the trigger wire, if it grounds out then you can do a battery direct to the fan, and the negative of the fan to the controller. If I remember correct the whole purpose is to see that when a certain resistance point is met the fan gets grounded triggering the fan to switch on. I ran mine to trigger a 5 pin relay to trigger two electric fans, one push and one pull. Let me know if my suggestion works, there are a couple of sellers selling similar circuits but they all operate more or less the same.

Great video my brother. I'd just like to know real quick. I have no clearance between my fan blade and radiator I'm using e36 arms and e34 rubber mountings Whhat could i be doing wrong

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it! How's the engine sitting, more to the front or the back?
@CARJOURNEY

There usually isn't any clearance for the viscous fan to sit, so what I did was a electric fan, then I used a fan controller to operate a relay that overrides the Aircon fan with the electric fan - one pushes, the other pulls. Car has no temperature issues sitting in traffic or hard driving. You can use a Peugeot 206 fan switch, but then you can use that switch to trigger a relay - 12v on the switch to pin 85, 86 to ground, 30 is a 12v, 87 to your Aircon fan and 87a to your electric fan between the radiator and motor. And then ground each fan to the chassis. That's how I did the relay wiring and it's been 100% reliable. Hope it helps 🙏🏽. For the mountings, I see quite a few people mix e34 and E36 mountings, but it makes the engine look more twisted. I just used the E36 mountings and it's dead level with the car. Got those my Master parts.

@@CARJOURNEY the engine is sitting more to the front And at the back close to the firewall there is like 3cm of clearance between engine and wall

Mine is also about that yes, I used an M40 radiator and had to be careful with the inner electric fan placement, people have had no issues with just using the Aircon fan, but I had a whole lot of cooling issues when the car had an M40 engine in, so I was paranoid and rather went overkill.
