Just starting wax carving to make more intricate shapes then what i can do with polystyrene sheets (what i had lying around well getting my tooling together) will have to make one of these to learn wax...then my first big project...the Key to the Black Lion from Voltron
if you make a very complex shape can you cast it in plaster by melting out the wax some how? thats the issu i have at the moment. its not possible to make a mold in sand because tand goes in to small compartements amd it breaks when i want to remove the ring
So i came across some random wax carving video which was so cool, plus i have a liking to watching casting videos and the more i looked into it i came apon your videos. Who are you, who is ChrisBlack studios and who is Cory? Im under the impression Cory lives here in Perth WA (yes my home city). A Q&A video would be nice or one telling the story of how ChrisBlack Designs came about.
So not only do you make BOSS level jewellery, but you have a MEEGGGGAAA BOSS level HOME studio....Dang!!!! Super cool to see your setup, a studio tour checking out all you cool equipment would be an awesome video idea ✌😎✌
Awesome. A new video. I bought my brother one of your famous “Chops” rings back in the day. He wore it everyday for years. He took it off when he was washing his hands one day and kept it in the paper towels that he dried his hands on and left them at the sink. Needless to say my mother went on a cleaning spree and chucked it. By the time he realized it, it was too late. He tore through all the trash and never recovered it. I would like to see you make another Chops Ring. A true classic
Hi Chris. I'm taking a casting class and I sand cast at home. You inspired me to do my own wax skull ring. You're videos are well edited and fun!!! I'll have to check out your site.
