Hey everyone! I am Yumechi and I have been living in Tokyo Japan for over 3 years. I work a full time job but I also am a freelance model that mainly models for kawaii and lolita fashion brands. I will be posting videos about my life in Japan along with videos pertaining to Japanese kawaii and street fashion. Devil Inspired has some good stuff but for Jirai Kei I would recommend Dear My Love or Ma*rs because they are affordable and easy to coordinate pieces together! Also these brands are Jirai kei staples so wearing their clothes will basically code you as Jirai kei even if you can't do the make up or have the accessories yet. Dear My Love also has a good size range👍🏻💕

I can relate. I don't impulsive buy and when I do buy something it's with the thought of keeping it for a long time and using it fully until it needs to be retired. I'm happy to see that I am not the only one who is like this 😅
Yayyy same idea for sure! The only problem with not being an impulse shopper is loosing out on items and them selling out because you spend too much time thinking it over lol 😅
I would say practice the make up first! There are lots of tutorials on youtube both in english and japanese. On instagram I would follow the zirai zyoshi account its like an instagram magazine for jirai kei. As for good starter brands I recommend Noemie and Dear my love. Dear my love is affordable, ships overseas and has a wide size range. Hope this helps!
I usually style them y2k, acubi style or subcul! I like to wear them with crop tops, or over sized Tshirts! Over size tshirt+those pants+plus silver jewelry gives a just came from idol dance practice kinda vibe. Crop top or crop top+zip hoodie unzipped gives a effortlessly cool look! Hope this helps!
Im watching your video (just now getting into Jirai Kei) and I kid you not I screamed when you said you were from Bay St. Louis MS!! I'm from there too!! My dream is to go to Japan and experience all of their cultures and subcultures!!
Bangs in general are very popular in Japan. It is said that bangs make your face look smaller which is why they are so popular here and with jirai kei specifically. However, they are not necessary for a Jirai kei look! Please style your hair however you feel comfortable!

I love the silly and chatty type of grwm. It's precious to see. xD also that switch on the language HAHAHA. Cozy is a mooooood. I recently got two vests from Ma*rs and Liz Lisa and I totally agree, it gives such a nice cozy vibe over the elegant setups in a good way! I LOVE that contrast, it just works! Also love that you mentioned Gyaru because of your Rady vest. I miss some of the older Gyaru styles like Agejo at times, but Jirai Kei fits me in terms of style much better (and other styles like sweet girly/himekaji, mori kei vibes with layering), also because I'm more comfortable wearing those in daily life. I like standing out in a subtle way, if you get me. xD And omgosh. I can relate on the hairdresser part not getting the bangs right. It's THE reason I went doing my bangs myself at some point because they just WOULDN'T get it right years ago. But I was also an anxious bean back then, so I couldn't explain it well either even though I tried to, lol. So not entirely on them. xD Nowadays I take along pictures and explain what I want, but also ask their input on ideas with my hairtype since my hair is curly. xD (always fun to see their surprised face after they dry my hair and it's way more curly than they expected it to be LOL. They expected wavy at most). I usually actually don't ever comment on videos, but I've been having a period of time where I didn't feel happy and didn't wear much of my favourite outfits and styles (I am suspecting seasonal depression for a few years, now that I'm tracking it). So watching this was like a nice little mood booster. So just a small thank you from me to you, even if it wasn't the intention of the video~<3

How confusing! I thought I was subbed before. Maybe youtube unsubbed me again. I dunno why! It does that sometimes. Also I used to use that Tarte Shape Tape. Also yea the concealer packaging is a bit messy. Especially my blind ass putting it back in and missing and then it gets all over the place.
