I shot this bow and felt with $1500 worth of bolt ons and the most dead in hand bow ever made, it’s not priced to crazy actually. Carbons are $1800-$2100 now and this is a completely different alloy than any other company. So it’s a $2500 bare bow….if it was $2200 are we there? Also, with proceeds going to Folds of Honor are we there? Sometimes I feel like people bitch just to bitch. It’s not in my budget either but does that mean I need to bitch about how they do business? Do I understand the personal contracts between them and shooters, nope. There’s people out there that want this type of technology and will pay for it. Should I bitch about that too? Ya’ll need to get a grip. Stay in your lane and keep on keepin on…proud to be a part of this mission for Folds of Honor! Let’s go!
“ I punched the shit out of that one, lol”. I haven’t done that since my last practice session yesterday evening before dark. It’s been 100+ degrees for days. Just too dang hot. Congratulations on a good day poking foam. Question- are you drawing 70#’s because it looks like you’re straining pretty good. I only draw 56-58 with light arrows for my 3-d setup. It also makes it easier for me to shoot more in my practice sessions and I get max allowed arrow speed for ASA.
I get the comment all the time that I look like I need to reduce my draw weight. LOL. I'm actually only pulling around 63#'s. It's not the weight at all. I'm drawing that way to keep the arrow on the lizard tongue.
Been watching for a while. These are the types of camera angles every RU-vidr or TV program (CAM included) need to use. Gives the viewer a good idea of what the lane looks like plus the close ups of the scoring rings simultaneously. Love it.
I really like his format. Split screen on target is awesome. I’m sure it’s not easy either in the field or on the computer. No wasted time showing irrelevant content.
Glad you guys like the format. I've played around with my camera setup for a couple years to create this vision that I've had and I finally feel that I've nailed it. I'll be making a video of my camera setup soon so that everyone can have cool, and easy, self filming videos of hunts and shoots.
BowTech honor $4000 Hoyt RX eight $3000 UV slider $600 UV half a dozen arrows $200 y’all sons of bitches are about to work your way out of a job cause I damn sure ain’t spending it
Man.... The price in this case doesn't have anything to do with politics or the economy. Go watch Podium Archer's (MFJJ) review he just dropped. He does a much better job of showing the price breakdown.
I bet that thing is over $5,000! But hey if they have the money to crush a family company that had a bow that was different from theirs but similar. I'll never shoot a Bowtech again after what they did that to Athens archery.
Awesome video. It’s so good all these archers can come there just before Cullman. Naturally they are all used to the game but every “ practice?” arrow something is learned. Years ago all our local clubs (6) shot unknown and it most definitely adds to the challenge. In retrospect I think I enjoyed that more than the known classes.
Welcome to the Cam and Evans show. Get them together and its worst than siblings fighting over the last biscuit. Throw Ryan Benny and Chris in the mix and no one is safe. Great group of guys.
While I like the connection to Folds of Honor, I don't get this approach. If it was a special overpriced, limited- edition rifle, folks would buy it. But modern compound bows aren't collected like that. Hope I'm wrong but it looks like a bad idea.
Did you know, I use some of my easton FMJs for 4 years now? No you did not.. Do you know how good of a bow the Hoyt Alpha X 30 is (1,400$) No yo do not.. How long do you use a house, a car... or a bow... yes.. -> Driving get 12 times more expensive, I heard there is a new bentley..
@@GardenArcher7625 I shoot victory rip tko and get a couple years out of them depending what I shoot with them. I shoot a Mathews lift 33. I’m not scared to spend the money. It just sucks to see everything get stupid expensive. The same thing happened with saddles. They went from 150$ for a saddle to 450$ for the same thing 5 years later. It’s stupid that everyone just gets more and more expensive just for the sake of being expensive.
Xpedition archery has been making magnite risers for a few years now. Xpedition bows are on the pricey side but nothing like the 4k price tag on this bow!!! Not taking anything away from Bowtech. They make amazing bows but that price tag is steep.
Todd admitted that there are other magnesium risers out there but they don't have the premium "rare mineral" alloy that this one has. I've shot they bow you're talking about and there is a difference when shooting this one. As far as the price goes... you get a lot more than just the special bow and the price is also giving a lot to Folds of Honor.
I agree, archery is a very mental game. If I could stop messing up a good score it would be so much more enjoyable. I like the style of video's keep up the good work. Oh and a new SUB also.
My bad... I never know who want's to be on camera or not and try to respect people's privacy the best I can. Next time you see me, remind me, and I'll happily let you do a shout out on the channel!
Oh man! I’m getting nervous just watching. 👍👍 lol, it’s like I’m the one doing the shooting. And that makes a good video. It’s so crazy how one lousy arrow can get things out of whack. And then it takes a couple more targets to get back into the game. Been there a hundred times. I have a hard time holding as long as you do. My routine is probably as long as yours. And I usually shoot in the 190’s breaking 200 like twice in 8-10 events. I think it’s because I shoot pretty quickly hunting spot/stalk pigs. It’s become an ingrained habit. Just asking- have you thought about lowering your DW as it seems you struggle drawing? At my age I only pull 60- 62#’s on any of my bows. Enjoyed your video here. 👍👍👀👀
LOL... Glad you're enjoying the video. I practiced a ton over the winter and saw a significant increase in my scores. Sounds like that "shooting quick" will be a hard habit to break. Idk why it looks like I'm struggling to draw. People have said that before. Maybe because I'm trying to keep my arrow on the lizard tongue. I promise, this is definitely NOT heavy for me. It's around 63# and I hunt easily with 80#. LOL
@@Arrow_Army I've had people say the same thing to me about draw weight. I do a slow and controlled draw just like yourself. I understand completely what you are saying. Im shooting 59 on my target bow and 73 on my hunting bow. drawing slow and controlled, keeps you from hurting yourself trying to jerk into the back wall. Just my opinion on that.
I did on at least a couple shots. I'm usually pretty good on not torquing. This bow does a great job of helping with that. I do need to torque tune sometime soon.
Nailed it, This video was freaking perfect, had the target and you shooting in the same shot. Appreciate you lugging around all that gear just so we can have a video!
@ronelkins1057 I know, I know!! I'm very disappointed I didn't do a LOT better. In my defense, some of these shots had some serious declines to them, and our flying was super slick. I get revenge on the course in the next video.
👍👍. The “ 5’s” that bother me are the ones I have no clue as to what I did. Usually, we know we held too long, lost our focus, balance problems on a slope. But ?
@timbow50 Exactly!! I did figure it out afterward. I was getting lazy on the shot and not pushing my bow forward enough to maintain pressure on my grip hand, and that caused it to drop on release.
I guilty of the same thing more often than I like on the 3-d courses. I try to remember to tell myself to stay “ dynamic “ and put energy in the back wall and keep that bow arm up. And when I pull that off correctly I know instantly that arrow is where I waned it. Crazy how that works, lol.
Wanna know something crazy try to get a hold of the archery director of operations in our rea and you get nothing he doesn’t answer you can’t get a hold of him or his staff to try to join to compete I shoot at 75 yard to warm up I guess bc I’m a dark Latino they don’t want us to shoot against you boyz
I hate you feel that way, but I have to tell you that is not the case. I am a multi-raced person and our club at Chicasaw Archery has people of all types enjoying the sport together. Who are you attempting to contact? Maybe I can get you in contact with someone close to you that would be happy to help get you set up.
@@Arrow_Army nfaa bc I wanted to show them what I can do I make my own bows arrows I made my first bow from dogwood my second bow from silver maple and my last bow from dogwood as well my arrow are made of oak and fletched with goose ( left wing ) feathers 🪶 and I practice from 75 yards to 100 for my warm up then I hit my angles and I finish off at 20 yards from behind a tree, I live in Maryland if you have anyone’s number from here in this area I can contact I would appreciate it.
@Silentbet1of It's impressive that you're making your own stuff! I've actually only have experience with ASA here in Kentucky. I don't know anyone in NFAA in the Maryland area. Sorry.
@@Arrow_Army what is asa ? I’m just trying to compete against ppl it fun to shoot in my yard but I wanna show the world what I been working on and how well a self bow can do against store bought ones
