Pro tip: when you're about to get flashbanged tap rear view to reset the exposure (note: for tracks that are overall brighter or darker you can change the exposure in the pause menu to your taste)
in "Art of Driving" one is kinda interesting, because the Walls are missing to "stop" you and technical you could also can take the left turn driving the route till you come back to the normal race route, where you crash (because there would be a "X" wall directly on the normal route lol which spawns there now after taking the glitch route) before you drive normal to the finish line. Also the Shock and Awe event has a glitch route, where you can drive the highway-desert route directly to the finish line from the other side before you need to crash the car.
11:02 The only bad about Import Tuner Challenge is that hasnt the complete wangan speed line map, just had the C1 with little roads to shibuya and anothers roads but no more maybe if hack the track limits can go further to wangan. Compared to the Ps3 exclusive Counterpart that is Wangan Midnight have the complete parts to daikoku for go Straight and challenge the rivals of WM. But also has some differences like an Dark Filter for make it Seinen 😂 and the cars are overpowered to +1000hp majority for focus on high speed races, the cars are less customizable tuning are based on cards system and a ENGINE HEALTH that blows if you runs to high RPM for make it more realistic, at least the ps3 has WANDERERS like Easter egg like Jintei, rolling guy, and more Probably genki could be made a definite version of TXR for both consoles with complete wangan map, expanded car manufacturers and customization but well 12 years later finally someone bored ported the ENTIRE Map to assetto corsa and SHUTOKU REVIVAL PROJECT has born :) At least both games can be emulated without problems in PC but I wanna get an Xbox 360 for play the game, the ps3 ver on Rpcs3 runs OK and I tested with my ps3 hardware
One of the coolest things to me about this txrd2 is the driving physics. I bought a DFGT specifically for this game and it got me into sim racing once I got to experience a good driving physics game with a wheel. Cars reacted how you would expect based on their drivetrain and other factors. It's not perfect, but it's really good for the time.
It's a decent video however, got some information at least somewhat wrong here. It's a good introduction to the Kaido Battle series of games, but I want some to keep in mind with some very minor things. 11:36 -> This portion albeit wrongly saying "Rice" when all the parts in the aero section are very useful. Wings add in more downforce than the Aero kit itself, but can make your stable generally speaking upon acceleration is inputted. As like I said the whole aero package has front and rear downforce. That helps maintain stability at higher speeds. The Rally Kit actually helps with aero as well, but not to a greater extent, but if it's at the top of the car for downforce is applied. Meaning over jumps and all that it would be more stable overall. 8:45 -> I'll be honest with you most of the rival bios are actually really off. Meaning more so machine translated with a lot of mistakes and or wrong information. I may fix this with a patch someday soon, but am working on something for TXR3 to make it make "Sense" than bad grammar and all that. 3:53 -> Keep in mind what you buy at the UCD, there are a lot of cars which are heavily worn out. The car will overall feel clunky to drive and lose more power and handling overall. The game will only show dealer stats than the garage stats in t his instance, but since Genki loves using their GNK_Rand() function it can create some things other worldly with how random it can be. Overall that's all I have issues with really. Everything else is pretty good and I'd say if anyone is at least new please try Kaido Battle 2 at the very least. It's a good fun game, but I wouldn't say "Forgotten" more so Genki's own games are their own "Cult Classics", as most have not forgotten the series and I bet Genki hasn't either.
lol i was gonna ask on reddit if the second kaido battle was as good as the third one (drift 2 here in US), and now that i know it is, its getting played!
i dont like judging games just on graphics but damn does this look like 2009 game while needing a supercomputer to run. i had to play it on low on a RX 6600 for stableish performance
I love all these games, but I feel like one of my time favorite arcade racing game is not often talked about, Battle gear 4 Tuned is just an incredibly fun arcade game, if u could do a video about it will be amazing
What a lot of people also dont understand about this game , when u play on original ps2 Joystick on original ps2 , gas button , or X and brake button , " CUBE " HAVE PRESSURE SENSITIVITY , WHICH EMULATOR DOESNT HAVE , IF U PRESS X HARDER THE THRORTLE GOES 100% , IF U TOUCH IT SLIGHTLY, U CAN GET IT TO 80 % 50% , 30 % I AM NOT JOKING . Also what a lot of people dont know , that this game has full support for Logitech Driving force , and Logitech Driving force GT . or g27 g25 then u will realise this game is not that arcady as u think . U can drift properly in txrd 2 and 3 . with controller or wheel , tuning is very important , but people come from nfs , dont know sh1t about , camber , LSD ratio , Stabilizers, Suspensions ,Weight to Power ratio , etc ,, i tell u this game aint no arcade as rest of those games .. Nice video as always DoVe brate !
Not having the face buttons be pressure sensitive finally made me have to use the triggers for throttle and brake once I started playing it on emulators with a ps4 controller.
actually japanese releases dont have "2" or "3 " they are 1st game is "Kaido Battle - Kaido Battle: Nikko, Haruna, Rokko, Hakone" 2nd game is "Kaido Battle - Chain Reaction " 3rd game is "Kaido Battle - Touge No Densetsu and every Japanese original relese , has more content and cars , than NA and EU releases
That's why the Japanese versions of the Kaido Battle series are the best compared to the overseas release version. Especially Kaido Battle 『峠の伝説』 where we can use boss rivals stickers/vinyls. Also, there are Gemballa/De Tomaso cars that weren't available in the overseas versions (Kaido Battle, Kaido Battle 2 Chain Reaction).
I really like TXRD1 Handling and Drifting, when I tried both TXRD2 & Kaido Racer I didn´t like the handling and drifting, is there any way to improve my experience in those games?
