I just love sharing live SG music that you usually have a hard time finding online. Please support all of the artists that I feature on this channel! I don’t want this to take anyone away from seeing them in person, so please help them in any way you can. Whether it’s buying an album of theirs, seeing them in concert, and most importantly remember to pray for them, as they have a lot to deal with on the road!
Vestal Goodman and I wrote What A Beautiful Day in May of 1970. I was in the hospital recovering from an aneurysm and Aunt Vestal came to see me in the hospital in Detroit. The song was written in French and Vestal Goodman translated it into English.
I need to make a correction on the language that What A Beautiful Day was written in. I started off writing in Flamange for the first verse. The chorus was written in Rhodham. The secret verse is written in Crimean. The chorus goes back into Rhodham. The next chorus is translated into Hindini. Then the last line of the chorus is translated into Hindi. The last line repeats in Flamange.
@@theresabarwick-putrel7884 Yeah, I think by "gone" he just meant no longer singing with the group. The baritone that was an original member and with them a long, long time is the only one who died.
