Hi, please help i just bought Y700 2023 with global ROM from china (they open the box + unlock boot loader + install unstable global rom), then i try on your step after reboot it's said the android system is not compatible with my device and now its stuck on unlocked bootloader. What should i do? / How to relock boot loader? / reinstall original CN ROM , please help
Did this method (Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant) on a Lenovo Tab P11 and got region fail and stuck in boot loop so had to go back and install ZUI which is all in chinese so unusable. Have used SP Flash tool v6 to flash 2 different Global ROMs but both gave me region fail so not sure how to get Global ROM to work
@@core-computinglab Yep. It is ok I just reinstalled the Zui 14 ROM deleted all the chinese apps and enabled Google services so can get Google play now so everything is fine. Thanks
Thanks for sharing. After many failed attempt i managed to Download the EFI you shared and it only contains the OC folder :/ and the config file, that's it.
The one for Intel onboard graphics only has a readme and a license file in there... But i did download the other one, so i guess i can try and use that one and see. I will report back!
I did make it work in the end, so thanks for that. I just had to somehow update the kext for the internal graphics card a few times until eventually it happened.
WHY did you make the CN ROM to Global ROM walk-through private at 12:08pm June 13th? I was literally commenting on it and it went private as i was watching it.
Is there any way to enable Game Assistant FOW from google play store games ? I've been trying to enabling it for Wild Rift with no results, but works for Chinese Wild Rift.
I had a weird issue with Bliss OS 16 not getting permissions from the game I wanted to play. I'm sure they're working on it, but for now if you have this issue and REALLY need to play on Steam Deck. Install OS 15, than upgrade to 16. Do not format the drive, it will identify the previous install and ask if you want to upgrade. All your apps and settings will transfer over, including permissions. If available I suggest putting 15 and 16 on two separate USBs in case something goes wrong. Make sure you actually boot the game up and give it permissions before moving over. Mantis Gamepad works on 16 but not 15, which is why I had to do it this way 😅
@@xandercode Chinese Rom has English. Global Rom is a hacked Rom which doesn’t have updates. It has a very sketchy firewall. Doesn’t always allow you to use beast mode either. Also not sure why you couldn’t get all your apps to work in english. My son has one working on original chinese firmware and it works fine and if less than perfect he’d go mad with about it as he has borderline ASD.
Can I use this EFI for lenovo 900m i5 6500t (35w) UHD 530 ? Coz I tried installing Sonoma and Ventura both has display 32mb vram. And this machine have 2 Display port And iam using a DP to HDMI cable
I saw a few on sale a while ago on ebay for about $200 as a mobo CPU combo which isn't terrible but you lose a lot of what makes it good (expandability) in a 1U server + riser. In that case there are a lot of potentially better options for 24/7 use in a homelab from N100 to the newer AMD/intel mobile stuff in mini PC's that can be had fairly inexpensive that use a lot less power (and yes I know it's not server hardware). In a 2/4U chassis I think this would be more viable so you could take advantage of more of those PCIE slots.
@core-computinglab Bro, you still have the opportunity to be the first RU-vidr to post a step-by-step video of installing the Official Lenovo Global ROM in Y700 Gen2 for international users, instead of just mentioning the Korean site. You can complement a walkthrough installation video with your "official" English guide and just post it on your social media/website/Google Docs link and share it on Forums. Although the actual steps are very simple, those who have not installed a new ROM by themselves before would still find the Korean version quite risky to take due to possible misunderstanding & information gaps. I believe many non-techy people would really appreciate content that adds value such as a visual installation walk-through process for international users... I really hope you can post one as I'll be receiving my unit this week 😅
I updated the tablet today and now the google and youtube is in chinese, in my setting the languege is english or my country languege, but the other things like youtube google news are in chinese, when i acces sites the menu is chinese... I dont know what to do
I have lenovo legion y700 2023 with 512gb version 774, after I use Rescue and Smart Assistant to root a global rom I got "The current system is not compatible with hardware. the device will power off automatically" I did unlock a bootloader before, after many tries I had to install the Chinese version back =((, maybe you now the solution to root a global rom on devices which have a 774 version at now?

@@sioweneyen You can install the 774(chinese rom) again or the NEC 022 if you have it unlocked. Basically, download the 774 ROM, download RSA, install RSA, select the legion tab TB320FC tablet and download the 240 ROM... replace the 240 rom files downloaded (C:\ProgramData\RSA\Download\RomFiles\) with the ones from the 774 ROM previously downloaded and perform the flash. You would trick the RSA to "install" the firmware thinking it's installing the 240, but since you replaced the files, it would install the 774. OR, unlock it though fastboot fastboot flashing unlock fastboot flashing unlock_critical And then in RSA, select lavie tab T9 9QHD1, and flash (the NEC 022 ROM is the default firmware from this model, so you don't need extra tricks.).
@@anr87 best you can do is install the NEC 022 after unlocking it or wait until people find a way to unlock the region lock that is installed with the 774 firmware.
Interesting. I ended with bonded VDSL (just two twisted pairs basically) and Starlink. I live in a village far from any flats so nobody is gonna dig into ground or even invest into the lamp technology. I will probably have part selfhost, but move public services to VPS
I'll make a short video about it. It runs perfect one windows but esxi is out the question even with the boot flags to ignore the E cores it crashes and won't boot. I Proxmox will install but if looks like it gets stuck when trying to do Pcie pass through
Please don’t recommend these old Xeon’s for 24/7 powered home lab servers. A intel n100 has more power than this processor and will run 20x more efficient. N100 mini pc’s go for less than 150$ and you will save 300$ on your electric bill a year compared to this.
n100 's are not server class hardware, not designed to run 24/7, dont even have ecc. and he could swap that cpu out for a 18 or 20 core. only use about 200w. by the way it only has 2 nics, the third is ipmi for remote managment
isnt this guide the same way to do that? Did you get yours from Aliexpress? I read some buyers who said the Chinese firmware doesnt give you the full gaming performance as the global one? Is that true?
I'm just trying to make sure that I don't need to check my firmware and no other things to do just go straight to RSA app and start flashing, is that right?
Still deciding whether to install jp or global rom, which of them is more updated? I just ordered the same tablet 2 days ago. I have concerns about my privacy/security on cn rom, but cn rom gets the security patches more frequently over global rom, so technically its more secured. However, I am not sure... what do you think?
GLOBALLLLLLLL !!!!! Haha its so easy and if you like me within 5 min you will not like the Chinese language in the menus. Nothing wrong with Chinese like but because I speak and read British English is quite annoying. plus, global come with apps that the other does not. it's so quick and easy to do, that why I made a video about it.
It is a Lenovo product which is a CHINESE company. It doesnt matter if you have Chinese or Global rom your privacy and security will still be at risk and shared. But I have owned Xiaomi products and the only think I have noticed is I get lots of junk emails.
