About the Geeks: The team you will see in these videos is a group of long time friends who are into 4x4's and off roading. Though we might be young we have a combined 40+ years of off road experience. Bryce has a degree in Outdoor Recreation and has been into off roading his entire life, and has been around Excursions since he was 6 years old. Rick is a trained fabricator who I have known since middle school. Together we form the awesome team you will get to see in videos.
I talked to him about it, unfortunately all the existing holes go in the area that is super hard to run the wire up. Where it is is just perfect to sneak the wire through.
Any ideas for a rear wheel well replacement. the lower inner portion where the rear dog leg meets the wheel well is rotted out on the inside liner and outside. (RearPassenger side)
You will see the tabs on the frame right behind the radiator. Did you add a tone ring for the Speedo? I was under the impression those years didn’t work because of that.
This guy online is claiming he did the strut spacer lift up front and coil spacer lift on BOTH front and back. That can't make sense, can it? You can't have two different lifts on one axle right?
I guess he could have removed the top cap of the strut and installed a spacer in there. But that would be a lot of work with the strut spacer being so simple. Plus it would make the ride worse.
Ok. 2 things. I now need those lol. So thanks for that. Second i always kill the battery before charging it. Short charging them kills them way faster.
Consider wiring them up to your parking light circuit (add some diodes so they will still work with the entry lights if you want) that way they will be on when you turn your running lights on. Also, see if you can drip some zinc rich paint down the wire in your fender so that fresh hole does not rust.
I thought about that, they are a bit bright to be on with the lights, I’m afraid the police might not like them. But I am thinking of wiring them to the rock light switch so we can have them on the trail😎
Ya I was a bit worried too, but it looked factory when I was finished. Tried WD 40 with zero luck…. Stuff is thick. But what ever works best for you right! The emblems are rad😎. Thank you for watching and commenting!
