This is one of the best videos I have seen about Solzhenitsyn. However, in my opinion, the music does not reflect the theme and reflection that the video invokes.
We are not a society of extreme individualism though. On the contrary, we are all bound in the chains of social contract theory here. It's not individualism that divides our collective efforts, it's an endless stream of manufactured divisions, like this shit where they moved 20,000 Haitians to an Ohio town with a population of 50,000. Of course that will cause division, tension, and violence. That's the plan, and they do it in a million different ways. That's what Operation Cointelpro was about. It's also the point of having two dominant political parties, so that roughly half of us can be pitted against the other half, and our efforts will effectively cancel each other's out. Over and over in the past two decades, 300 million people have voted, and it has almost been a tie. That means they've gotten the divide and conquer tactics down to a very precise science at this point.
I read the speech a while back but I do remember that he scolded the western journalists too. Who gives the right to Tuckers of the world to inform us without any consequences of spreading lies. It took Dominion lawsuit to cost Fox a ton of money but people still don’t know the truth because it wasn’t covered with the same enthusiasm by Fox. So Tucker gets a pink slip and another piece of human excretion like Waters takes over and shares the same BS with the American people. Poison of misinformation is still running in the veins of the people.
Communism and socialisam are two diferent system of organizing societies. Socialisam in Its basic has possibilities to organize societies to serve the citizens and not like the capitalism that proved to be made only for the few - the corporations and top financial families. Communism another supresive system serving only the few on the top. People in the west, out of lack of knowledge and facts, confuse communism and socialisam as being the same.
Even the silly background music and the AI voiceover could not obscure the truth of what was said. Rights withouts responsibilities result in the exact problems Solzhenitsyn was talking about, as we can see today in the actions of the morally bankrupt politicicians that lead so many western countries principally the US and the UK.
People from other societies and thought systems can see things that the participants in a society are unwilling to see or believe. Too conflicting, short term gratification vs long term meaningful pursuit. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was a man with the intelligence of seeing, the power of analytical thinking and language and the discipline to tell truth whatever what. Yuri Bezmenov also saw clearly and voiced it in 1984 (?).
There is no extreme individualism. Only individualism. How a small 'Obedience' to the state will slowly grow to another Soviet Union. The problem of Moral decay was the rise of Aethiesm. Then the state controlling the marriages which should be under the church. The subversion had its effects. So he was wrong but top many clueless to see everything as - What he said is so trueeeee.
To speak of the USA as having a moral foundation is to reveal one's own utter ignorance of US history both domestic and abroad. Mr Solzhenitsyn's analysis of the West in the present day may have been correct but his analysis of the USA's history is bunkum.
I read his speech 10 years ago. It was a jaw dropper. He was brutally honest. The elite narcissistic Harvard elites I am sure were horrified that their moment of self love was disrupted. A remarkable man forged through the Archipelago.
Loved his speech - and every word is becoming truer by the minute. Music was too loud in the background and also too happy - it would work for a cartoon :) but took away from the content of this excellent video.
Right on the money Alexander , as usual. Once the Zionist financiers run your Federal Reserve for the benefit of their cronies make no mistake….. you’re screwed. !!
Solzhenitsin was Trotsky's follower. Trotsky was for state as corporations with bankers as top leaders. So, USA followed this Trotskism to a t. Bankers and TNCORPORATIONS rule the USA. Rejoice.
He displayed a deep understanding of the human animal. Extremes in collectivism and hyper individualism destroy freedom. Nature rewards balance between dualities.
The USAa has been in a death spiral, steep and precipitous since that day. So who really lost that day? The USA is now a toilet bowl of tyranny, infanticide, wars for profit, government and corporate corruption, narcissism and psychopathy. Self greed and self obsession. I hate what the USA has become. I hate nothing more than its current Oligarchy.
Your choice of background music struck me strongly as inappropriate, even insulting, to the topic. It sounds like the soundtrack to a children's cartoon show, not for a very serious discussion, as this is supposed to be. It suggests that you don't take his talk seriously, even though events since his speech have fully borne out his predictions. Feel free to convince me otherwise. PS: I've looked a two other of your videos (Hemingway and Thomas Sowell), neither of which were sound-tracked this way.
"Thank you so much for your honest feedback-I really appreciate it! I completely understand where you're coming from regarding the background music, and I can see how it may have come across as inappropriate for such a serious topic. It definitely wasn’t my intention to undermine the gravity of the discussion. I’ll take your feedback to heart and make sure future videos reflect the tone and seriousness these subjects deserve. Thanks for watching and for your thoughtful critique-it really helps me improve!"
@@CryptoStoicInsights Thank YOU for your polite and serious response. I knew all about his commencement speech before I saw your video, so it didn't affect my impression. My concern was how someone else with no background might react. Again, thank you for engaging with me on this topic that I think we both believe is important.
