Hi, Welcome to the Spirit Anointed Leadership Podcast with Chris Conrad!
Chris is the Regional Superintendent of the Great Lakes Region of the Wesleyan Church and has also served as the Director of Church Planter Development. He has planted churches and has served with such leaders as Orval Butcher and John Maxwell. Chris is a pastor, leader, and family man who has a deep passion and desire to see every leader and individual learn what it means to lead and live from a Spirit-Anointed place.
God invites each of us to be Spirit-Anointed Leaders. We can either lead from our own strength, greatly limiting our influence, or we can lead with the power of Holy Spirit pulsating through our lives - allowing Him to work through us to change the world around us. Join Chris Conrad as he guides the conversation through the hardships and victories many ministry leaders face and the power that comes from leading from a place of dependency and intimacy on Holy Spirit.
Thanks🙌. This is confirmation to me that I need to seriously be disciplined to rhythms of grace and take that rest to refresh my Spirit and rest in Jesus 🤗
I am totally guilty of this. If I had had crucial conversations about a year and a half ago, perhaps we could have avoided the train crash we experienced.
Matthew 16:15-19 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Psalms 127:1-2 King James Version (KJV) Except the LORD build the house, They labour in vain that build it: Except the LORD keep the city, The watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: For so he giveth his beloved sleep.
The Fellowship of Believers (Acts 4:32-37) 42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. AND THE LORD ADDED to the church daily such as should be saved.
This is probably my favorite episode to date... the transparency and rawness is encouraging and necessary... Thank you for being vulnerable and lighting the way to discuss talking about difficult subjects and letting others know that they are not alone... everyone has struggled with everything... it's just a matter of seeking... find your people and get outta your head...loved the biblical references...🙏❤️📚
To the point that Chris makes at the end "...God can open doors that only God can open...." If I remember this part of Jim's story correctly, Calvary Church did more than a nation-wide search for the next Sr Pastor and Jim never applied or lobbied to be considered. At the end of the search process the search committee and all of Calvary Church knew that God had called Jim to be our next Sr Pastor! And we are blessed to have him!
Jaye Thomas, a worship leader from whom I took a leadership class, once said. If you're not ready for the toilet brush, you're not ready for the microphone. I am so glad to have been mentored and tutored by JB from the beginning of my time as a worship leader. He is an amazing leader and definitely anointed by Holy Spirit. -James LLWC
James, thanks so much for sharing this with us. We will certainly pass this along to Josh. Thank you for your willingness to grow and learn as a leader!
We highly recommend you listen to the whole episode to get the full context of this episode. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HVDLEoSNCDM.html
