Ft Sill 1990 February to August? I had Drill Sergeant White, Pinette and Erb. DS Erb ran like a gazelle. Ran the PT test in leads that 10 minutes. Those DIs were straight out of Vietnam and here hard as nails. I lost everything I have from my time there lost in a fire. If anyone can help me find some things from that time I would greatly appreciate it.
Me and my brother grew up there from 78 to 80/81 went to school on base then to ashaffenberg school then to hanohw school ( however its spelled) lived in family housing on base, second apartment building on the right . Middle 3rd floor

@@wewiii Yeah. We were in week 7 if I remember correctly. It was Alpha 2/80 and they ran two groups that day. 1st and 2nd platoon with my 3rd getting split between the two.
I was at Fort Sill the summer of 1989. C Battery 1/31st D/S James Crawford and D/S James Stokes. We were 1st Platoon the Commandos "Straight Outta Hell".... We had a dude that made up our sound off and it was tight!!! We designed our hoodies and sweats too. We was the Shiznit!!!! I was a section leader too! Brought back memories right here!! 13C Tacfire!!!
This shity joke doesn't work anymore considering that people are starting to appreciate the prequels like it should have been years ago And the sequels are just disney garbage 🗑 🙄 😒
Stationed there 75-76 same unit D 3/59 on the second floor . I recently returned last month as I was told and saw on You Tube the Kaserne was demolished but for my memories and wanting to return I stood around the bahnhoff in Babenhausen and walked into a guesthouse I heard music and people talking as soon as I walked in everything got quiet. In a way I wanted to laugh it was like a cowboy movie going into a salon . I was on a mission after explaining myself we were all smiling and waving goodbye. So me being there was a representation of us veterans returning to where we were once stationed and the love that we have for the country and ours . I will and hope they remember the brief moment of our meeting and what to share this with my veteran s returning as a homecoming I say .
I wonder whatever became of my Drill Sergeant John Bonner? He used to say, "90 percent of the Army is just common sense. The other 10 percent is just making stuff look pretty". And he told some sexist jokes that I still tell, 3 decades later. Like: "Why did God give women legs?"
Dude, I do remember vaguely Cook, I’m going back there in December this year, my 20yr old daughter and I are going to see my 24 yr old German daughter, she lives in Miltenberg. Please stay in touch, and any other of the guys. I’m 48 now
