Thank you Dr. Amina for such informative videos. One of the problem faced is that every time you write even in own words it gets flag. You change the structure of the sentences buts still flagged as AI. Can you make a video on the way we should write, the style, the structure, grammar, etc... It seems whatever you do, it gets flagged. Even it is %100 genuine, Turnitin flags it. This especially when writing for research using of course academic tune.
Honestly, using some of these tips is harder work than actually reading and doing it yourself. The most important skill you can have at uni is critical thinking. AI can't do that.
Slmz thank you for the formative videos. Im doing my masters degree i need to submit by 31 October. I need help on Theoretical framework what theory or model to use on influence of social media on teenagers in high school. Can you help please. Jazakallah
I recently started using PaperGen for paper writing. The way it navigates around typical AI constraints has helped me come up with fresh perspectives. It feels much more engaging than standard tools! Have you tried anything like this?
Thanks for your guidance and really appreciate it.❤️ especially when trying to move to next stage of my career. But I found it funny where who found having baby is equivalent to have time. People complain about no time. 😂
Speaking of tools, have you checked out PaperGen? I've been using it to refine my writing and brainstorm ideas for projects. Its ability to bypass traditional AI limitations really opens up creative possibilities. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
What I noticed about Jenni AI however is that mostly it gives limited texts and then jumps to another section or subheading. How does one overcome this challenge
Thank you so much for the explanation I wanted to clarify a point that I have been facing since the start of my SLR. is the number of articles that we decide to keep for the study have to be a certain % comparing to those found otherwise the research loses its systematic aspect. Thank you
This is awesome!! I’m going to try this tomorrow as well with my mixed methods research. I’ll see if I can find any tools on your site for Qual data. I’ve been using DoveTail- it’s amazing, but its purpose is for research teams, not academics. Thank you Dr A!
My uni has a system: Investigate, Apply, Consolidate. Investigate is work they expect you to do before class (readings/videos to watch), Apply is the class so the materials are there and Consolidate is a short task to test your understanding of the class or a reading/video to watch to further/stretch it. Honestly I often skip the consolidate tasks but the system works, it really works. If I ever skip the Investigate tasks (I have sometimes before because, honestly, I’m lazy), I really suffer
Well, what about actually engaging your own brain when trying to paraphrase? This will help you to better understand the content of what you’re reading, learn to communicate more clearly and become a better writer yourself. Isn’t this what writing an assignment should be about? Frankly, I’m aghast when I see videos such as this one which encourage laziness and cheating. I teach in higher education and we have pretty good tools for detecting AI-generated content. I will always seek a misconduct penalty against students who cheat.
So, recently I used ChatGPT for an outline for an essay. I wanted to know if my paper will get flagged if I used the points, but I did the research and writing myself.
