I don’t how people would have felt, but I believe this show should have fast forwarded to when he got the apartment, and eventually met Leonard. Maybe Chuck Lorre is saving that for something else?
If you noticed CBS aired the wrong vanity card and credits since it’s from the previous episode. You can see where it says Series Finale Event continues next but that didn’t happen.
I enjoy how Sheldon is beginning his new life, but I secretly hate how he’s just running away from his problems with his family and never keeps in touch with them excluding his mom. Rip George cooper.
It's expecting a lot from a character most likely on the spectrum to react as we do to such a tragedy. It's remarkable that he cycles through all the things he wished he'd done but not surprising that he couldn't take the step. It took years of living with remarkable friends to give him the comfort and security to recognize his emotions and let them play out.
Hes not running away, he has the opportunity to study at a prestigious university at 14 years and do his dream career. So why wouldnt he take it? He can send money back to his family once he starts earning
They played the wrong video after the final scene... that was the one that was shown after the funeral... Guess they didn't realize that. Walk of Life was a perfect song choice since it was the one to start the pilot episode...

That is David Saltzberg, science consultant on The Big Bang Theory - very sweet cameo. The show's finale was very sweet - heartfelt, funny, with cameos of adult Sheldon and Amy, and completing journey of Young Sheldon to adulthood. And it was hell of the journey - and I enjoyed it very much!
