Edwina Brady B.Ed Australia Thanks my slicer on sale didn't have manual or instructions with it. I'm four months into being 90 so with arthritic fingers I knew to be careful. Your instructions on safety are excellent. Your a great teacher
The question that no one has an answer to - How to use the mandolin for a potato without losing 1/5 of the thing once you reach the level where the gripper won't hold it anymore.
Such a "grate" video! I sought out such a video because I finally unboxed my slicing Mandoline to thin-slice a bunch of cukes, and didn't want to clean my food processor. The thing was so useless, I couldn't believe I was using it properly. It wouldn't slice well (or at all) because the bottom of the "V" would catch the food (on ANY of the adjustable settings). After watching this, I realized I WAS using it properly, and although this is a well-known brand for its sharp blades (and I love their other kitchen tools), the Mandoline I have stinks. Now I want the one in this video, but couldn't find the link to which the presenter was referring for purchase. I loved the tips, too, makes so much sense! Thank you for doing this right, I don't have to watch more videos on this topic!
This is the best review I've seen for this device. RU-vid should have this at the top of the results. You provided more information about how to use this device than other channels. Great job 👍
Very good tips. Your delivery is very natural and cheerful! Using the gloves is an excellent precaution - but your video shows that you are not wearing them for most of the demo. Thank you...
You are the bomb a great instructor. I had problem with the dial it would not turn and you were the only one to address the problem and how to pull out the cutter to clean safer and easier. Thank you so much. To the Wise One.
Really good advice here! I’ve watched a lot of videos where I’ve shouted at the presenter “What are you doing?” because their actions were so dangerous - including a chef! They should have had a “Don’t try this at home” warning! This video is brilliant. I now feel more confident to buy a mandoline, thank you.
I am really liking these series. I would have been good to go deeper on why oxidation/oxidants cause inflamation. Anyway, maybe you mention it in one of the following videos :)
Really good presentation. It's give me confidence to use it unfortunately at some point when my thumb heals after a nasty slice. Don't go bare hand... EVER.
I remember hearing some farmers sell ugly produce such as carrots into baby food. Natural based farmers feed it to their hogs and chickens. I freeze berries that are almost to dark. I also can stuff that is are close to exspiring.
@@simplifyfresh9009 Wonderful! And please don't be discouraged by the lack of attention this video has thus far. The presenter is very pleasant to listen to, the information is easy to grasp and the video is long enough to be educational without being longer than one would be willing to sit through (this is important to me due to lack of focus and concentration). I have a feeling these videos will gain in popularity.
