Plenty of spending plans for all groups and purposes. Must be a ”Presidential Election” year budget plan. National debt to increase another $2-3 trillion dollars. By 2026, Americans will ANNUALLY spend $1 TRILLION dollars in Interest Payments for the National Debt of an expected $40 Trillion Dollars. The interest payment amount will increase every year for the rest of your life…..unless the US declares bankruptcy. President Joe Biden said that he would be the “MOST TRANSPARENT” President in American history in his inaugural address. BELOW ARE FACTS that Joe has not been very transparent about with the American public. Joe has added $trillions to the national debt. Now it's your turn to help out.. Americans need to send more money to Washington. Congress has spent (all of your generous IRS returns) + (Congress borrowed $1.7 trillion dollars) and also spent that in 2023. The borrowed money was added to the debt you already owe. As of June 4, 2024, each taxpayer owes $102,980 of the U.S. national debt, which is $34.7 trillion dollars. This is an increase from 2022, when the per capita debt was around $93,500. Your debt burden just increased by 10% in one year. Do you have $100K in savings to pay your fair share? Probably not. Why not just tax Americans $1.7 trillion more dollars every year and forget all the work of borrowing money? It doesn’t work that way. This is an election year - politicians spend money but do not tax during election years. However, the year after elections is a different story. Also Dementia Joe has forgotten where he put his “veto” pen. It is just easier to add $1.7 trillion dollars to the National Debt than to tax Americans. A few trillion dollars-does it even matter? In 2023 Congress borrowed: $1.7 trillion and added it to The National Debt. National Debt now equals $34.7 trillion dollars. In 2023 the federal interest payment on the national debt was $659 billion dollars. This is approximately 15% of the $4.4 trillion in taxes collected in 2023. The interest payment is paid first from taxes collected. So 15% of government expenditures were locked up by the annual interest payment on the national debt. The $659 billion was not available for any other federal programs such as social security, medicare, medicaid, unemployment insurance, food assistance programs, federal pensions and benefits, education, transportation infrastructure, veterans benefits, and “pork and barrel” projects for members of Congress for their districts. Today American taxpayers are annually paying larger interest payments for expenditures by past Presidents and Congress. And historically both (President and Congress) increase our annual interest payment every year. It does not matter if a Democrat or a Republican gets into the White House for 2025. The “$1 trillion dollar interest payment” is going to significantly impact the lives of all Americans. The interest payment will be paid, but the projected 2026 $38 trillion dollar debt remains. If Congress and the President continue to run unbalanced budgets in the future, the deficit and interest payments will only grow larger.
