-------------- what the hell were they thinking? If you can't get the original main cast: Eden, Hagmen, Daily & Rourke, then simply do not make a reunion. It'd be like having a Hogan's Heroes reunion movie without Klink or Schultz, it's just not done.

Loved the series I Dream Of Jeannie. Barbara Eden is still incredibly beautiful. But this Jeannie TV movie based on the show and the one made 6 years before this are just awful. Can't believe they cast Wayne Rogers as Tony Nelson her husband in the 1985 movie. What were they thinking? Both series regulars Bill Daily and even Hayden Rorke (In the 1985 movie) were wasted in small roles that are more cameos than anything else. Sad.

I love how jeannie's evil twin sister tries to make sure that jeannie doesn't find a temporary master & jeannie 2 even locks jeannie's son tj in a bottle so he couldn't tell jeannie what her sister was doing in the 1991 movie I still dream of jeannie

I wish Larry had come back for this one. I know there's various reasons for why he didn't, but it could have made transitioning from JR back into the "rest of the world" better. I don't know. Lol. I think it would have been good for him to revisit it. That said, Barbara and Bill are amazing, as always - and Ken Kercheval, always grea to see him. And in a way, giving a nod to Larry's Dallas era, too. 🧞🧞‍♀️🤠

A lot of TV reunion specials aren't very good, but I Still Dream Of Jeannie was pretty close to recreating the magic and humor of the original I Dream Of Jeannie series. I'm just said they couldn't get Larry Hagman to reprise the role of Tony, however.

How do you end things like this? Forget Tony & Jeannie’s marriage and love story, this goes against their ENTIRE history. No way would Jeannie or Roger have stood for this. This is horrible.

I always love Barbara Eden, but this tv movie was really awful. I'm sorry Extremely disappointed not to see Tony Nelson. Upsetting that Larry Hagman couldn't reprise his role in the last one and this 1. But not even Wayne Rodgers. Could reprise this role at this last sTV movie? They should have never made this movie whatsoever if there's no Anthony Nelson.👎

It was a great TV Sitcom from the 1960s but still enjoyable today watching the 1991 movie version with an actress Barbara Eden about 20 something years older in 1991. She hadn't aged too much in those years but now it is 32 years here in 2023 more so I don't expect a woman living so long past her 80s to remain as beautiful.

By the way the funniest dialogue is that when Jeannie says that detective plays with fire when he messes around with this Genie then Mr.Simpson said "Or this Bob."Thus showing how Bob really likes that Jeanie's attitude.

I remember when this aired and watched it with great delight as I had been a fan since I was a kid but, like the Gilligan’s island remake in the 90s I was hugely disappointed. This 90s version is just wrong on so many fronts. I agree that Eden looks wonderful for her age but the charm of IDOJ was Jeannie’s tomboy-like and ingenue qualities which are lost here in this remake. Not having Hagman in it was also a huge downside. He was obviously too big a star after Dallas to agree to do this, as he saw himself as “above it” - he despised doing IDOJ even back in the 60s as Barbara Eden eclipsed his fame on the show and people tuned in for her as the series progressed and not him. But regardless, his comedic timing and wonderful characterisation of major Nelson was crucial to the Jeannie/Anthony chemistry. Especially in the very early episodes of Jeannie, there was a chemistry to the show that was undeniable. Yet storylines became rather silly as the show progressed and the producers ruined it when they allowed Nelson and Jeannie to get married. It killed the show. The only remake of vintage shows that ever worked was the Brady Bunch remake which was excellent because they got the storyline right and yet updated the jokes for modern times yet this Jeannie 1991 remake is simply not funny at all!!! These shows were sitcoms and written to be funny but this is about as unfunny as it gets.

The sound effects ruin the show. I hate the tingly sounds they here here for Jeannie’s magic. They should’ve used the original sounds and just updated them slightly. The special effects are wrong.

If you read The book of Leonard Maltin's TV,Movie, and video Guide it says Best performance by Djin Djin The invisible dog.Yes meaning he's not seen or heard in this As others would also agree with me it doesn't matter that this Reunion doesn't agree with the prior Reunion Movie of I Dream of Jeannie 15 years later because the point is that people get to see Jeannie in her cute suit again. In this film it also begins with Tony Nelson taking off into space and without being seen so he's therefore off in space both literally as well as figuratively.

I'm watching this for nostalgia sake. I couldn't watch it the first time it was on because of the lack of Larry Hangman. To me it wasn't the same without him. Not as funny and kinda sad. Barbara was her usual beautiful self but the chemistry was lacking.

They did one jeannie movie too many. The first one was ok because I think rogers did a good job replacing Hagman and everybody else returned.
