The heel design is how Winchester is treating its gun owner audiences, and if one really broke it down, they are appearing to follow the automotive Stellantis model of persuing more models and varieties without staying in touch of its paying audience. Look at those Legend failures, some OK, most a waste. The 6.8 Western, decent, but the 270 WSM still beats it, and the Winchester Rifles are garbage compared to when they actually made rifle. Though this 21 Sharp is a technological advancement, Winchester has a believable reputation on follow through, as does the current BS artist and liars we have in the White House; Harris and Biden. Remember that little HM 2, or Mach 2 as it was known? One of the best big squirrel rounds on the planet for late season long shots with the light weight projectile that couldn't shoot at dangerous distances for public and live stock safety. Winchester needs a real make over and it begins at trust.
I keep seeing the same misinformation on the change from left hand to right hand shooting. There is no need to reverse the bolt head when switching from left side to right side shooting when switching the handle. You can be a right handed shooter, or left hand shooter, and leave the bolt alone. The reversing of the bolt is for the ejection of the spend cartridge, be it left or right. You can be a right handed shooter and have the spent cartridge be ejected from either side, left or right, same for a left handed shooter. So this bolt switching has NOTHING to do with removing the pull/push handle from one side of the rifle to the other side on the rifle.
I had a g2c which I really liked and it ran every type of ammo I put through it. I passed it along to my son and got a g3c. I'm really happy with it too. Only ammo I've had issues with is Tula ammo, with an occasional light primer strike. With restrike capabilities, it has taken up to 4 strikes to fire! So, I just stay away from Tula.
Maintaining the California ammo market is key to preserving a right to arms in the US and worldwide. 1.5moa dispersion at 50yd is fine if it maintains that 1.5 at longer ranges. Looking forward to more data. I would have no problem swapping barrels on most of my rimfires as an easy DIY operation if this cartridge succeeds. My only reservation is with a revolver, as it could present a delta L problem.
The SLR was the first gun I ever fired. I was born and grew up in the UK. Around 15, I went on a school trip to an British army base, and one of the activities was prone marksmanship - using the L1A1 SLR. I was a little nervous, btu shot a full magazine with some success (with the help of an instructor!), and - it got me hooked. I've been target shooting ever since then.
The whole point of the new Winchester 21 Sharp cartridge is to stop poisoning the environment with LEAD! The 21 Sharp uses a mostly non-lead projectile in a firearm that will not chamber the old TOXIC ammunition.
I’ve got a couple made in 1925……1serial number apart…it was a duty and a dress pair….the duty has been worked on a bit…the action and trigger pull are light as a feather………my son has one and I the other……gifts from the wife….the accuracy is on for the sight configuration ..
So how about a cartridge using a 22 caliber and a chamber reamer to convert the excellent guns we already have at a significantly lower cost , using a slightly different casing? As one reamer could be used to convert several guns at little cost. Without replacing expensive gun parts. Then tell nusence Nusem to shove it where the sun doesn't shine.🤨
I love my pro…. Not so much on the shorter version. Easy to carry but a pain to put them all in the same hole (for me anyway). Great video. Just sub’d.
he most ANTI - 2A gun manufacture in the country. United We Stand, Divided We Fall. You are not immune. What the Tyrants did to Smith & Wesson will some day happen to you. Meanwhile Savage Corporate has their heads in the sand. Savage Arms Headquarters 100 Springdale Road Westfield, MA 01085. GLTY ! Reply
Don't like the stock. It's made for target shooting... NOT hunting. I like 24" and 26" barrels. The reciever should have a MORE open action to allow better access for loading. I don't like detachable box magazines. I don't like plastic either... BUT I do like the stock's camo pattern and color!
Literally will not go anywhere. If they really wanted to do something they would have made 25 ACP caliber rifles That people would rather use because of the centerfire instead of the rimfire. This is stupid
I have the 280 ai best rifle I have ever used I'm disabled and have a bad shoulder no issues at all terminator muzzle break took down the kick and sound considerably
Sigh… at this point…. I love my anaconda…. I want a Python. I wasn’t a 4.25…. I’m not paying 3 grand for a 2 vent blued gun that would cause a small mortgage to fix.
It may be suited to as a revolver round.. maybe better if they produced 21 magnum ammo ..would be interesting to see 21 magnum rifle with 25 round magazine
I see this taking off about like the 17 mach 2. Its really a shame about the mach 2, because it would be an amazing small game cartridge. The problem with this 21 sharps, while it will likely be ballistically superior to the 22lr, the 22lr can also chamber and fire 22 long and 22 short. Since most people dont ever use 22l or 22s, that's probably not an issue for most, but for myself that is an issue in some cases. Obviously not an issue with an autoloader or something that ises detachable box magazines since any of that chambered in 22lr wont cycle the others anyway, but even a 22lr that wont cycle them can still fire them if loaded into the chamber one at a time. The biggest problem is gonna be price, because if the price isnt directly comparable to 22lr, its not gonna stick around. 17HM2 was on its way to being almost the same price as good 22lr ammo, in fact it was the same price in early 2020, but around march of 2020 all the ammo skyrocketed and dried up and the 17HM2 got the backburner for a second time. I don't see the mach 2 coming back unfortunately, and I see the mach 2 being better than this 21 sharps. Just my opinion.
Mauser 1910 calibre .25 ACP and .32 ACP were popular in Thailand (Siam) back in 1934 when the tide with Germany. I owned about 3 of these guns in excellent shape that I brought from Gun shop in MA in 1993.
I have my Uncle's M700, 30-06 built in 1946. He and his three brothers and my Grandpa were avid hunters. All four Brothers served in WWII. I'd give big money to have my Grandpa's 250 Savage lever action. It's disposition is unknown. Money cannot buy this Remington. No plastic here. Just steel and walnut.
