MC-101 output goes into S-1 input, S-1 can mix input with its own signal. Then S-1 output goes into SP-404 so 101 and S-1 signal are mixed with SP-404. The devices are daisy chained so the mixer is no needed ☺️ S-1 volume knob do not affect input signal. It is easy to control all levels with devices volume knobs ☺️

How they are connected to this small box, which of them is MIDI IN to this MIDI thru box? Because if I see the cables correctly, all the devices have the MIDI IN slot occupied, correct me if im wrong please. 🙂

MIDI master is MC-101 so the midi out is connected to midi thru box, then one midi clock goes to the S-1 (into midi in) and second midi clock goes to SP-404 ☺️ thanks to midi all the devices sequencers starts when i press play on 101 ☺️ and i like using midi thru box because it filters out all notes data so devices get only clock signal ☺️
Sorry Marcin, one more thing 🙂, did you change the midi thru configuration on the back, or did you leave it at the defaults so only clocks are sent?? 🙂
Great job. I had a choice between getting an MC-101 and an MV-1, chose the MV-1, now trading it. I think I would have kept the 101.

Thank you! Roland Verselab is a very interesting device but everything depends on the use case ☺️ For electronic music without vocals definitely the 101! ☺️

Hi :) Audio outputs are daisy chained so the output of the mc-101 is connected to the input of the S-1 and then S-1 into SP-404, then SP-404 stereo output goes straight to Zoom H6 recorder where whole mix is being recorded. MIDI clock signal is shared via MIDI Thru box, which is hidden above the S-1 synth. I can easily share only clock sync signal without any notes data so i can use sequencers of all devices. Hope my answer was helpful ☺️
So, the H6 has four inputs, and instead of laying down the MC and SP on their own sweet stereo channels, you're just smashing everything into two channels? That's like ordering a pizza and dumping all the toppings in one slice! Rock on... I guess?

@@VicenteRubino Hi, MC and SP produce a lot of different sounds so my point is to mix everything in the boxes themselves. Then i track final mix with the H6 and i also track my hand claps in order to sync audio and video later. So here H6 is great with its own mic which i can record on separate track. After recording i'm applying a little mastering with Logic's Pro mastering plugin and thats all :) I'm trying to keep it simple :)
Hey great setup ! I watched other videos, great productions too 👏 I would love to know how the three are organized (what gear goes where and what gear receive what) or all the 3 audio output goes in a mixer then in the Zoom ?

Hello! I'm happy you like the setup ☺️ Audio outputs are daisy chained so the output of the mc-101 is connected to the input of the S-1 and then S-1 into SP-404. S-1 volume do not affect the MC-101's volume so it is quite easy to make the audio levels correct in such setup ☺️ And i can easily turn S-1 volume down without muting MC-101. Zoom records only stereo signal after SP-404 fx section :)

Hey! Thank you, i'm happy you like the music ☺️ The stand is Gravity LTST 01 laptop stand. It is sometimes wavy when you push the device with bigger power but finally it's acceptable for me and i can use it with many setups thanks to moveable mounting screws :)

I'm happy you like it! 😊 And sorry for late answer too! :) Audio is daisy chained from MC-101 to S-1 and then from S1 to SP-404 MK2 and finally the output from SP-404 is connected with two inputs in Zoom H6 (in order to record stereo mix). Cables are hidden under the foam :) In order to connect midi i use midi thru splitter. This little box is hidden above S-1 in the case 😊 Thanks to that i can use master midi clock from MC-101 and share the clock signal (only) between S-1 AND sp-404 :) Midi thru box filters other midi messages (like eg note data) so MC-101 won't mess in other devices :) Feel free to ask if you have any further questions 😊
oh wow! what a complex project : D knowing you used a midi thru splitter is really helpful. I have similar setup except instead of MC 101, i have a Elektron Cycle and was trying to connect everything exactly like you. Somehow i couldn't get the midi work. Thanks for all the detail. and and keep up with the great music!

I am going to take my case with MC-101 and 404 with me for a little vacation so i will try to create something 😊 Now after using the Akai Force i'm inspired to create with the MC-101 again 😊I'm going to Italy so i hope i will have some good scenery to record some video 😊
Great sounds. I like the use of the system 8. I had the Akai Force but ended up selling it because It didn't go with my workflow. You make good use of the Force. good video.
