I share my Passion for Indie Gamedev and Games 🍵🎮 Let me invite you to join me on this journey as I create games with the Unity Game Engine. Together, we'll have fun, learn, and maybe even create something amazing. 🌟🎮
👋 Welcome to Unitea - where game development with Unity Game Engine and a good cup of tea come together! ☕️🎮 I’m Timo, a former web developer turned game dev enthusiast, and I'm here to share my journey as a game developer with you! I have followed all of this steps, and when i go create a new project, it gets stuck on buffering/loading like on 3:35 and it never opens my project. When I click on it it says, Project failed to open. Check log. I tried re-installing it but i still have the same problem and i have a mac intel. Any suggestions?
Creating a game without Apps Script or Macros would definitely be an extra challenge and more time consuming, but it is definitely possible to create some good small game ideas only with built-in features like formulas, conditional formatting, and basic spreadsheet functions to create interactive games. Maybe a random number guessing game or tic-tac-toe? :D

Seems like the connection to the download server interuped during your installation. 1. Try to reinstall Unity Hub and start the Editor download again 2. If this does not work, install the Editor without the Unity Hub (you can find docs for this, by searching on google: "Installing Unity without hub")
I really do not hate unity. I use godot because my pc is not that powerful or i would use unity but it is personal preference. I love the game engine i use (godot) and i will use it even when i have a good pc
Sorry for the late response, I missed that comment somehow. I'm sure you should take a step into more professional engines like godot or unity and learn how to use them. It will be overwhelming at first, but with some time and practice you will get used to it :)
Hey man, how do you implement Unity Player Account? I have been trying for weeks but got stuck. I managed to implement the anonymous one only. Can you share any documentation that you refer to? Thanks in advance
For Peng!uins I used the Unity Player Account Service of UGS. I already added a video to my content plan that will focus on Authentication with UGS. For now I would recommend you to read following docs or join my discord to share your problem in detail: docs.unity.com/ugs/en-us/manual/authentication/manual/unity-player-accounts
@@unitea.gamedev I have managed to implement the Unity Player Account but how do you keep player signed in after they quit the game? I still didn't get it after ready the documentation multiple time. I refer to both Unity documentation and this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XVqYIFcjhLE.html
for real, i love unity, but i really support godot for being open-source, and i work with unreal, but i started with game maker, so there's plenty game engines for everything we need :D
Yes, Unity has a lot to offer, but I also see a lot of potential for Godot (in the long run). Absolutely worth getting the $5 Godot membership to support it.
@@unitea.gamedevthey played it in a VM with no gpu and it didn’t run and we got 1s as scores as a result😢. They essentially didn’t even play our game. Also the tutorial was in the audio, and the judge was deaf.
I don't use godot currently, if so I would keep you updated and share the reasons why, here on my channel. Godot is not necessary or unavoidable, don't listen to people who tell you that you have to use a specific tool to build something.
your only input on your stance in this video is 'I have already started in unity so it makes more sense to continue my journey there' . all the rest is fluff. fuck the algorythm
Well, I've been using Unity since 2018, when I started my I.T technical course and some time ago I would struggle to change, but as I'm improving as a developer should say that devs shouldn't be sticked to programming languages, frameworks or tools like engines. I spent 5 years learning unity and learn godot has been way faster. I felt it easier to do some stuffs in godot and probably I'll miss others, but it's not that hard to adapt. And anyone who want to start at anything should follow the most basic steps: read the documentation, not exactly 100% before start something; watch some tutorials videos; and finally code! I would be on godot from now on, but it's just my opinion.
