I love Jedi guard / Sentinels of the jedi order. I would love a movie or a least a little film like a tale of the jedi story... Glad to have your music :D I love it !!!
I'd say a little earlier than you expect, Cal takes a moment to raise his saber into the blocking stance. Also, don't try to parry every single hot. Several of his fast close together ones aren't able to all be parried
@@jacobcenter7374 There are times that I get into a rhythm and manage to parry, but most of the times I just can't get it to work. Thanks for the info. Wish videos could help somehow in that regard too.
@@nikosxi Yeah it's hard to show without a controller camera. I was stuck on this fight for quite a while my first playthrough, and theres really no cheese. Just don't run him down. Stand in place and let him swing at you until you break his guard. If he gets his saber flying around him, use auto parry. If he does his zoom-to-you move, precision evade the two hits, don't double tap dodge. The long dodge in this game is significantly worse than the roll from fallen order, but the short dodge, is much better than the short dodge in fallen order
@@jacobcenter7374 I've been dealing with the flying saber, by shooting him with a stun charged shot. 1 in 10 times he deflects it but for the other 9 it's great.
@@nikosxi I think you're better off with auto parry to be honest, it deals a good chunk of stamina damage which gets you closer to being able to do large health damage with the saber, but if you're comfortable with it then keep with it
I'm subscribed to your channel and I somehow didn't notice this! You're a pretty good Batman: Arkham player from what I've seen so far. Any plans to post some gameplay videos from the other Arkham games as well?
Maybe. While I absolutely love the others, I replay them for story. If I want to just play some Arkham stuff knight is my go to. I could see possibly posting some City stuff as well though. But I definitely expect to post more Arkham Knight at the very least
I had to move all my music to a different Musescore account because my old one was tied to my highschool email, which was deleted when I graduated. Search for my name on Musescore, I'm pretty sure this one's there. If not, I can find the old file and add it later today
Thank you! I mean in the sense that there are people who keep this going for over an hour after croc, achieving an over 2000 combo, and stopping when the score maxes out at 100 million. But I am still proud of this, thanks again
I've been doing it for over a year now since its a movement technique that works in the first game too. Takes a lot of practice is all. If you find you often get a normal dodge rather than a fast one, start holding R2 for a little longer than you feel you should
@@jacobcenter7374 yea, I just tried it out yesterday in the first game. One last question if you don’t mind then I’ll be out of your hair. When performing this cancel, do I always hold or point the left stick down or do I have to keep it moving?
@@jacobcenter7374 never mind I know how to do it now. I have to point the joystick down before he does the ground stomp no matter where I am I just point it down before he does it. Appreciate the help
I did some testing and realized that you can hit him with the downward swing of Split-Saber attack 2 (double-bladed up-down swing). If you try it with the upward swing, he will dodge it, but the downward swing will hit him and knock him over. It also drains a lot of his health and is so satisfying ;)
I for a while have had a setup to lead into that for a theoretically fastest possible kill, but the AI never gave me the proper RNG to get it in a good run
@@Solomon_C while attacking his guard I would do the switch attack to double blade then do the split saber attack. The AI would sometimes let the first hit break his guard and then get hit by the second hit. But most of the time he'd roll away. The times it worked there were other things the AI did to slow the fight down
2:06 Sheesh! That was close! Those air traps are so annoying to deal with. It wouldn't be too bad if the game provides a better warning that it's coming. But as of now, it just appears too fast.
For real, I stopped moving because I thought I got hit. I hate the dang air grenade. Like it's a grabbable item, I've even seen the web grabber yoink it once, but it activates SO fast
@@Solomon_C it's just the games generic action music, particularly for this arena (which is the default arena, which is likely why you've heard it often) however, there is no dedicated track for him
@@Solomon_Cif they had made a separate track for him, it would almost certainly have been a dark rendition of Cals theme, which actually would be really cool to have had in the game
Damn the ammount of time and effort to learn how to proporly sync combos together so smoothly its like butter meanwhile i struggle to pull this off in actual combat and get my shite slapped by the 9th sister over 30 times with no more than 4 stims and she always cheepshots at the start i dont dodge within a milisecond its over for me.
Have you fought the Mire Terror? I've heard it's very hard and frustrating. Also, from a spectator's POV, it looks like the 3rd hardest hitting boss behind Vader (#1) and Spawn of Oggdo (#2) so that makes it about the 3rd hardest boss on damage alone, not even taking its high aggression or long combos into account. lol If you have fought it, how hard was it?
I've fought it. First though, minor thing, Oggdo and Rancor both hit harder than Vader on GM, he's probably number 3. Several of the Rancors moves one shot you, not just the grab. As for the Mire Terror, it's honestly not too bad. It's pretty much a stronger Mogu with 2 new attacks: one unlockable ground sweep, and a long combo chain that ends in an unlockable. If you know the timings for a Mogu, then you already can comfortably counter most of its moveset. The unlockable sweep is fairly easy to dodge if you don't panic, and the combo can just be interrupted by a force push or parry push (or you can just run away from it. Most people try to long dodge which has way too much end lag to get away). I'd say it's intimidating for a first encounter, but otherwise it's just kinda fun
@@jacobcenter7374 Right... but it looks like it hits 2x as hard as a regular Mogu if you screw up and get hit you basically have to waste 2 stims lol. A regular Mogu already hits hard
@@Solomon_C it also depends how upgraded you are. Early in the game literally everything one shots you. I don't have much trouble with it anymore, and the only bosses I REALLY struggled with were Rayvis, Dagan 2, and Oggdo. But early game, someone who hasn't put way more hours in this game than is probably healthy will certainly have a decently hard time
@@jacobcenter7374 Yeah it does... But in Fallen Order, the downward swing of the double-saber split attack from Inquisitor Cal will insta-kill no matter how much life you have. Maybe upgrading your health makes more difference in Survivior but I was just surprised when I saw the Mire Terror's damage, like he hits harder than Dagan Gera, DAMN! It's funny you didn't struggle that much, watching people like Floverse rage so hard over regular Mogu's got me thinking the Terror was really hard lol
@@Solomon_C Actually if I remember correctly you could survive that downward swing if you had full upgraded health and didn't get hit by the upward swing. But you needed EVERY upgrade. Maybe I'm misremembering though. Anyway, I'll admit my very first time playing I had a VERY hard time with the regular Mogu, partially from over confidence. But once I learned its moveset it became easy
Congratulations on finally getting out! Hopefully this means more Jedi: Survivor content from you. Also, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is coming in more than a month and I can't wait to see how you handle it!
Already got it preordered, I'm so hyped for it. I was trying to do a challenge on Rayvis using the precision perk and not missing a single parry, but accidentally skipped the final cutscene rather than quitting to menu, so I've gotta go through the story again to get back there (stupid fake meditation training in this game). I've got a no damage on Dagan 3 that I'll be making into a video soon, but it's kinda hard to come up with content in this game without a proper battle grid. I'd love to try something crazy like bode and dagan at the same time, but obviously that's impossible right now. Hopefully now that they've seriously improved performance they'll add that feature. I mean it took 6 months for it to be added to Fallen Order
Sorry for all my comments but how hard was Vader compared to Bode? I've heard some say he is harder and some say that he is slower and therefore easier. What's your take? From a spectator's point of view it looks like Vader attacks harder and has higher aggro but Bode has a much greater variety of attacks. Am I right on that?
Vader would be harder if you were playing as Cal. But Cere has a HUGE parry window, like story mode parries when you're on GM. I think Vader is MUCH easier, because though he hits harder breaking his guard is a cake walk
@@jacobcenter7374 OK nice to know that Bode (and Rayvis it seems) are the main hard story bosses I need to look out for if I get a Series X. Dagan and Vader are easier.
@@Solomon_C Dagan can be tricky, especially his 3rd fight, but not nearly as bad as the others. Also the game is apparently coming to last gen consoles soon
I haven't got a series X, but Bode looks very difficult. His attacks have sporadic speed and he has lots of them. They also make a big dent in your stamina. Then again, I beat Inquisitor Cal on Grandmaster with no damage. Bode can't be too much harder, right?
Inquisitor Cal is my favorite fight in the series and easily the hardest in Fallen Order. But I don't know if it's just because I have more practice against him (that probably is the reason) but I had a pretty hard time getting this, and spawn of Oggdo and the double Oggdo fight, double rancor fight, and triple legendary beast fight are all objectively harder than him (and way less fun)
@@jacobcenter7374 I mean Bode attacks like the Nydak Alpha where he staggers then suddenly runs in. The parry timing looks way more erratic for Bode than any saber boss in fallen order
Well done! I love that there are other types of charged blaster shots, but it's disappointing that there are only three of them in the game. Also currently trying this boss fight without the blaster stance and it is *painful.*
Yeah it's gonna be a while before I'm willing to do that. And I never even bothered trying the other shots until I saw someone using this one beat this fight in 38 seconds
What makes him much harder than the others: 1. He has his guard up far more than the others. 2. He dodges away very frequently making him a hard target. 3. He has your attacks, but they are buffed to do more damage, and a large percentage of them are unblockable. 4. His unblockables are nowhere near as telegraphed as anyone else's. They come quickly. That damned split-saber attack where the first part is blockable and he suddenly turns red without warning and kills you in one go with the last hit... also the switch attack from double to single which is hard to predict and also cuts straight through your block and deals a ton of damage if you don't dodge... MOST OF ALL: You CANNOT slow him, but he can slow you, and the slow is SO annoying. The amount of times I have been massacred by a saber throw or dash strike while slowed...
I don't know if you still respond to older vids but I wanted to ask, is him backing away RNG? I saw in your vid and in WR, he barely rolls away. He did once in this vid. Kills the momentum of the fast pace fight for me so much though I did achieve the No Damage thanks to copying your playstyle.
Yeah his behavior is rng. I have a specific time save found that would get this under 35 seconds, but in 2 years haven't gotten rng this good at the same time as not choking it. Congrats on no damage though
@@jacobcenter7374 thanks, I figured as much. Is there a speedrun melt method for Taron Malicos as well? I used switch attack but his force pushes are so obnoxious.
@@jacobcenter7374 Time well spent! The Jedi Council must be proud! lol But really though, i was quite impressed, I'm playing Fallen order right now to trying to defeat Cal without taking damage and I'm able to defeat him on Grandmaster level just after using 7-8 stims 😅
@@MacheteTalkStudios my first time took me 9. It takes time learning his patterns. Oh and don't do the howling pull thing I do in this video. Instead after each evasive kick use overhead slash, it does more damage than the 2 regular hits and uses less force than howling pull
