This song will always be one of my favorites! I am 50 now, but I was 16 at the time....a staffer at a Baptist camp called Dry Creek Baptist Church in Louisiana. The world is so different now and I have gone back to music that helps me....it is so nice to reminisce about the times in my life that were so very good as a younger Christian girl. I truly rededicated my life to Christ nearly a year ago, got baptized and this song helps remind me I am his now and I have nothing to fear...because my father, Jesus Christ is forever near!
Bishop and gospel producer and artist Michael Brooks has passed away. God called him home less than 2 weeks after his dad passed away. I remember this song, gosh I never knew the singer - this is why I love You Tube! I discovered so many songs I listened when I was much younger and now moving on I can recognise the music/artist.
Oh wow, I haven't heard this song since the early 90s!!! Takes me back, I remember jaming to this in February 1991, I was 14. I went out with our Church group back then on weekday evenings to visit the elderly in the Nursing Homes. Hearing this song, I'm like reliving early 1991 in my life again. Great memories. I felt so bad for those old folks at the time. Music is so powerful, it makes you reminisce.......
