Alexandre was my great grand uncle, he would have loved this arrangement. Of course he wrote his piece for trombone for the newly founded Paris Conservatoire auditions. Alex was famous for his improvisations and would love all innovations so long as they were done with love! God bless to all. Mark Garnham.
Have played this arrangement in former band in New Zealand -an amazing piece. Have to say Amsterdam Brass do a better job than we did and much faster tempo. Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! I like this a lot! Great playing all around!!! Tutti Bravi! Brandt exhibits superb artistry with range, power, and sensitivity!! Excitingly beautiful! It has is all! WOW Again! AWESOME COMPOSITION well conducted! WOW!
Nice try, but this brass arrangement simply lacks the clout (or, more to the point, bass) to give the organ suitable counterweight. The weirdly unbalanced recording doesn't help.
