Arguably one of the laziest reviews I’ve ever seen. There are tons of different kind of hinges and you didn’t comment on what makes these different. The acetate vs plastic. The lenses mirrored vs nylon
I remember these bunkers as a child and they were still there and not fenced off but we were told as children not to play in them as they attracted creeps. They were creepy places that people didn’t go to. Now they are historical.
That might have actually been a Biberratte; "beaver rat". I just saw one this weekend while hiking in the Ramstein area. All the Americans in the group thought it was a beaver, but the Germans who are local to this area corrected us and told us that it was a Nutria. The rat tail certainly proved that. 🐀
I have both the shoe and mids in leather. With the leather option comes gore-tex. Also there are 5 different soles from soft to hard rubber, depending if you care more for the colour of the upper than you do the for the grip of the sole.
@@cravetheplanet Can't fault them at all. Lots of rain where i live, is why i choose the leather/gore-tex option. Got a good deal on the mids, was so impressed i paid more than i wanted to for the shoe. So that would be a, yes.
I just got two slightly thinner 8cm height and 136 x 200cm dimensions from Decathlon with 5 years warranty that looks almost identical and we had a great first night sleep on it (side or back - both very comfortable). It's €160 which is less than half price. I am still tempted to try out Exped to try it out and compare though... although still can't jsutify paying double becaue think it's way too overpriced for what it is and how easily it can become unusable should a damage occur. Regarding dogs jumping/sleepping on it - why don't you just use a proepr protector cover preferably on both sides? I bought a nice protector for my Decathlon ones with cotton on top so it's much easier to wash it in a washing machine than try to clean the mattress. I will still cover both of mine with a very super comfortable blanket.
i'll have to take a look at decathlon - the past 2 years i've been drooling over their displays. much cheaper for sure. i just wanted to try a "cadillac" since i'm usually cheap in everything else i buy. ALso, i am a side sleeper and have never been comfy on a small air matress before. Did you get your cover at decathlon also?
I got my shoes yesterday, I was very glad, but after the inspection I noticed how much glue there is and for some reason on the sides, just below the inscription «la sportiva» where the side holders, there is a hole, I don’t even know if it should be like that 😢
I think it’s venting - mine have done well in mud this spring drying out quickly but they are def not waterproof but I don’t really like that. They are much more durable than the altras but stiffer too. Trying to get my hand on some Topos athletic but their site is wonky
I also thought about it, that they don’t have goretex and they should be well ventilated, I saw another review of the first version of raptors, they said that they were a little hot
@@Chalenger911 I don’t think they are hot- but I don’t hike in 40 degrees. At that temp it’s hard to tell. Maybe some hiking groups in mororovo Jordan etc would have recs
After backpacking 5 miles in my knee was really sore. There was no injury or pre injury. Now my ankle on the other side feels sprained, with no injury. I feel like I can’t go backpacking anymore.
@@cravetheplanet I had to skip out on the trip last week because I have no confidence in my knee. It snaps and grinds even without weight bearing. I didn’t want to slow the crew down.
@@curseofsasuke good luck rehabbing it. Little by little usually works for knees …. The rice crispies knees are no joke! I seem to always jack up my knee in may… just before summer. Perfect timing g
This was my favorite hiking shoe of all time until a few yrs ago. The altra also hurt my feet and going back to them. Hard to adjust back to the tight toe box of the ultra raptor though.
No. They are fairly soft - I’ve noticed the upper and laces are okay but the tread will wear faster than something more structured like la sportiva. This shoe helps for the zero drop if you need that for knee issues etc. everything is a trade off. They are very very very light but where you benefit from that and zero drop you trade off that they are good for one year maybe before tread wears low. Also if you have any midfoot issues with chronic stress reactions I’d stay away from
It was about 5 hours walking time but we stopped twice - on e for food and another to soak legs in ice stream water-/// Stunning path with views of my Blanc almost whole way. 8.5 miles www.komoot.com/tour/1211933743?ref=itd
Hello. I don't know how to message you about this so here I am. You need to change your heated ski sock review article. The venustas heated socks are UNUSABLE for skiing--they are simply too thick to allow for proper form or control. The fact that this isn't even listed as a drawback indicates a lack of knowledge or a deliberate omission.
@@cravetheplanetcan’t refuse the aunties 😂 but from what I hear, they have a shot before meals because it helps with the digestion and also improves the appetite. And it’s 100% natural.
You pronounced excellent !! That's a very hard word for a stranger !! Maybe the NGO should change the name to something easier to pronounce by people. Even myself as a native speaker have some issues with that word. 😅
