I have one of your SD49225XA-HNR but it says on Amazon Currently unavailable. How does this compare? Do you have the SD49225XA-HNR in stock anywhere ? I have seen the SD49225XA-HNR for sale by others but it does not have your firmware installed. If you don`t could i buy one and flash your firmware onto it providing you can give it to me ? Thanks.
Hi Andy, I found you via that time-lapse guy's recommendation over on the SecuritySpy Forum. nice stuff! I am looking through this menu system to see how I can push notifications over TCP/IP to ... well anything. meaning one of my own socket-listeners in front of MQTT or suchlike.
Also when I setup auto tracking it doesn't track. Ive selected the whole area just to try and test it but it doesnt follow. The alarm goes off just no follow.
Great video. I have 2 questions Andy. 1. Can I use this camera with only 15W poe (not poe+) switch output? 2. Does it run with Synology Surveillance station? Thanks.
I checked again, I see intrusion and line crossing showing up by enabling it under Smart Event on a Hikvision iDS-7616NXI-I2/X nvr. You can't draw anything, from the nvr, you have to do it from the camera. Intrusion alarms from the camera work. Tripwire isn't working. This is for an EmpireTech IPC-Color4K-T.
Can I use this directly plugged in via hdmi to a TV? Then can I plug a wireless logitech keyboard and mouse into the nvr itself to have full functionality control with using a computer at all?
Yes. a 4k hdmi cable can go 75ft. (some a bit further) You can also run a usb extention cable that hangs out behind the tv you want to use for the wireless mouse. You don't need a keyboard. So you can do everything seen on this video 75 ft from the nvr.
When you say "If the camera isn't AI, use the recorder's AI" is this for non-Dahua cameras via ONVIF also or only for Dahua non-AI cameras? I have several Hikvision ColorVu turret cameras I'll be using besides my Dahua PTZ cameras. Also, what is POS? My current NVR doesn't have this. Thanks
POS is hardware/software that can overlay text like the price rung up on the cash register so an owner of the store can see if any shrinkage is due to cashier error or something else. It has to be integrated with the cash regester. Not DVR dependant.
@empiretech-andy9543 I already have the NVR8CH-8P-2AI Thinking of picking up the IPC-LPR437B-IR for lpr would they be compatible with each other? Thanks
I bought 2000.00 worth of cameras from you my only issue is this when I bought the cameras I never thought I would be locked out of the cameras due the manufactures inability to make a program that allows users to log into the camera. I have not been able to log into the camera at all and feel that I need to because my videos quality is not at all what I was expecting. Making a user try to find outdated versions of Internet Explorer is not good business practice. You really need to find a solution make a proper video so that the people who trusted you in there purchases can use there systems properly!
Thanks guys The video NVR is a NONE POE one, the POE one will be easier for newbie, no need to activate the camera and plug in and play. So we start from a harder one. Other settings all the same.
Can this be converted in "IR light sensitive camera" assuming you have external IR illuminators? I want to place it in the backyard of a countryside house with no external lights from the street.
Andy, I am really stuck! when i type the cameras IP address in the browser, and i have tried Chrome browser & Microsoft Edge browsers, i get an error back. I am not able to get past this stage of putting the Cameras IP address in the browser it will not open up a page to where i need to be just an error every time when I typed the cameras IP Address into browser. i can not get my cameras initialized, so i can't go in and edit the IP address on the configtool.. I am using Windows 11. What am I doing wrong? I can take a video and upload it to the IPcam website if you would like. This is very frustrating.
Is the SD4A425DB-HNY the smallest auto tracking ptz available at the moment? Does the auto tracking work with blue iris (ie is the auto tracking fully built into the camera or does it need the Dahua nvr)?
Poe powered only no data correct? Or is this the newer one that finally does data as well? I.e., can you bypass wifi altogether and solely use ethernet only?
Nevermind, I think you answered it at 8:00 some doorbells would use the ethernet for power only and no data, data was strictly wifi. I'll have to pull the specs tomorrow to see if I want this or the unifi one. I doubt this will work on unifi protect, correct me if I'm wrong.
Only wifi bro, and none POE, it use normal power. www.amazon.com/EmpireTech-Fixed-Focal-Floodlight-Floodlights-IPC-WL46A/dp/B0BXWSFQFK/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3UMS93U06J396&keywords=IPC-WL46A&qid=1692762296&sprefix=ipc-wl46%2Caps%2C467&sr=8-1&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.f5122f16-c3e8-4386-bf32-63e904010ad0
Hello, can you tell me how good the Zoom function is? I needed a camera that can zoom in without too much loss of quality. Would you recommend this camera?
Great video!!! Thanks for a well created tutorial. I've just ordered a system from Amazon CA from Empire Tech and this is a great way to know whats coming for my setup. Thanks!!!!
Got a question, what happens if have an additional smart plan that has a different preset, and say that a person or vehicle moves from the view of smart plan 1 into smart plan 2. Will the camera immediately start picking up the person vehicle as defined within smart plan 2 or will the post delay in smart plan #1 have to run out before it will pick up activity on smart plan #2?
