Hi! I hope anyone can help me out. I am just on the straps process, but I don't see where it says how long should the long part be...I have probably missed it trying to do it as fast as possible. My deadline is in a couple of days as I am making some bags for my daughters as a gift 😅😅😅
Yep! Anything that isn’t a garment weight. It would need to have a firm edge in order to paint it. But you absolutely can paint vinyl/faux leather/cork 👌🏻
They sell special cleaners for them but I try to just wipe it with a rag quickly after I’m done. My rollers still get dried paint on them but it doesn’t bother me. Sometimes if there’s too much built up, I’ll peel it off with a straight pin (it’s kind of satisfying actually lol).
I am a TOTAL newbie following patterns!! I am LOST. The 'Main Body Liner 1 of 2" piece looks too small. I don't know what to do with the triangles. Is there a video for this? I don't see a video on your site even though the description says I should have gotten a video. I am sure I am just missing it! HELP!
You have to cut out all the pattern pieces and join up any of the patterns that have the same name but say “1 of 2” and 2 of 2”. Tape them together at the triangles so they form diamonds, creating the full pattern piece like you see in the video.
I’ve made this a handful of times, it’s a great pattern. Is there a hack so it can fit a cup with a handle? Someone in my family asked for it specifically. 😊
I get asked this a LOT. I’ve given it a ton of thought but no matter how I go about redesigning it, it messes with the connectors, or forces you to wear the bag with the pretty pocket against your body and bottle handle front and center sticking out🥴. Otherwise the handle will bang against your body as you walk which would get old really fast. I’ve seen hacks done but I just don’t think any are ideal because of the issues mentioned above. My best suggestion is to print the pattern larger and fit the whole bottle inside the bag to keep the design/functionality intact.
What does decoville stabilizer feel like? I have something that doesn’t have a label on it but not sure if that is what it is…uhh should have labeled it😢
It’s an off white color. That’s the easiest way I can tell it apart from other stabilizers that are typically white or black. Decovil heavy is very firm, decovil light is not as firm.
Do you have a picture of the woven interfacing stabilizer you are talking about? I don’t know where to get that or what it even feels like. I have my Deville.
Great idea. Maybe vet a couple of other shops for hardware, webbing, etc?! Sourcing good materials is the challenge, not sewing up the item. JMHO. Love your patterns, Linds. Really special!

Question: I have this machine in my cart but have not purchased. I currently have Juki TL18QVP which does a good job but not perfect. I am also a quilter so I need machine for that. I have held off on an industrial machine as I just don’t have the room. This one seems like a good one. Do you think I will be satisfied with this one being my “industrial” or will I regret not buying big one with big table?
It actually sounds perfect for your needs! My friend just used this machine with 30 wt cotton thread to do some FPP and said it sewed up beautifully. And I already know it handles my WPC and leather layers great. I always recommended this machine for bag makers who don’t have room for a true industrial.
