It is not about the role itself. You can only be a good PO if you are THE subject matter expert. If not, you are just a backlog secretary caught between PM and the agile team, trying to catch up with them, with little knowledge and zero power to drive things, let alone to even lead a team.
Hello Mimi, I would love the opportunity to connect with you and gain insights as I navigate my transition into a Product Owner role in the Canadian job market. I attempted to reach out on Instagram, but it seems my message hasn't been viewed yet. Looking forward to connecting with you soon!
Hello Mimi I’m a Nigerian, recently relocated, watching your videos have been amazing !! I’ve been over dozing on them. Please keep them coming. Also could you please give the Tessalawu linkedin again? Couldn’t find him with the link you provided in the former video. Thank you 🙏.. please can I reach out to you personally? Thank you for this video, very helpful. How are you doing in ur role? Have you completely blended in and gotten used to the job?
Definitely want you to put up more videos on Product Management. It’s been one year , kindly give us an update … seeing that U’re a mum like me, ahn it tells me I can do it !!!! God will do it!!! All these years and u didn’t give up! 🎉
I just migrated to canada from Nigeria and trying to get that dream job as well in product Management .. currently about to take my PSPO and PSM exam… I just started my journey and hearing your journey reminds me of mine…watching this has been amazing !! Thank you for this video.
Your friend is so correct about using rose water mix for your hair. That was what my loctician told me to doas well and I'm living the look/ feel. Lesson learnt, spry before taking a shower
Hi sis, Congrats on your now hair journey. I am now 16 months into my micro- loc journey and loving it, I started it myself and maintaining it also, I decided to lock because I was tired 😩, combing out my hair after washing, like you it was either cut or locs 😌. My advice continue looking at other loc videos, sister, micro, traditional and figure out what's best for your hair. Keep safe 🥰
Lovely video....the question I have is this...aside the initial financial commitment, what's the outlook on subsequent relocking. I was once on locs and had to relock every 3months or whenever I had the time until i unlocked the hair but that was for the common sized dreads/locs...just as u mentioned...im at a cross road now btw going on low cut or locs but the cost of locs and the fact that I may need to expose my natural hair to some chemicals ,if I go on low cut ,has kept me in a limbo....im.really confused . Anyway permit my ranting..so whats the financial commitment after the initial lock. Thanks
hey sis. I understand your confusion. It's a big decision to make. Going to your question, you have to go back to your loctician for reties every 6-8 weeks. This is to ensure the new growth is reloc'd and your hair locs in a clean uniform pattern. You could even learn how to reloc by yourself so you don't have to spend money on reties. I don't know where you are but here in Canada, reties can cost between $100 - $200 depending on the type of locs you have. I wish you all the best as you make your decision 🤗
Hi Mimi, Congratulations and thank you for sharing your experience . I can totally relate as I am in same position now, trying to break into the product management but seems difficult. How can I reach you please.
Hi Mimi, even i got into product roles in my early stages of career. Believe in compounding power of empiricism. One Question: I am planning to apply PR in canada meanwhile trying to figure out NOC code for Product Owner/ Manager. Can you please help me with NOC code. Appreciate your help :)
Hello, your video really touched me and I am wondering if you can be a mentor for me. I would really appreciate it! Please let me know your response. Thank you
Hey Mimi, I totally resonate with you but I am certain it would be better. My husband is a Product Manager and this is definitely how he started but he is now in cruise control. I should connect you both sef. Mentors are the very best. No need reinventing the wheel but simply leverage on the knowledge of those before us. All the very best and take it a day at a time
Like it's been said that problem shared is half solved, some persons don't like sharing there challenges, Glad you did and got open door, kudos to you dear Mimi more wins
