So I'd like to know if you know where those boulders like the ones we see here at 0:59 came from in the first place, because it's not like ANY of these things could be moved by anything less than a earthquake, crane or a forklift yet they all appear to have fallen into their final resting place, so what was it that was responsible for getting them there because they are not part of that wall they're leaning up against.
2023 was a slurpee salty ride. ... The dedication USFRA puts in year after year in order to keep this event going is monumental. So many moving parts and no crystal ball to know if the salt will be dry enough for 500mph darts. Fingers crossed for a dry baked event in 2024!
I would never do that trek alone! Unfortunately, he violated one of the first rules of the great outdoors. Accidents happen though and I have certainly had mine. I slid off a four foot granite ledge barefoot out at a waterfall. I had contusion of both feet and it took over five months of recovery! At least I was with a party who helped me with the 2 mile trek back to the car. I still sometimes have flashbacks of the incident! You don’t forget an accident like that and the feeling of loss of control when you’re falling is very scary.
Some might say that Aron being trapped and having to cut his arm off was misfortune. However, consider that the rock might just have likely landed on his head. As Aron himself said, he didn’t lose his arm, he regained his life.
I believe the DWR officer was going to claim that boat and fabrats recovered it and returned it to the owners instead of keeping it. The dwr officer probably wanted to keep the boat for himself. Just a vendetta.
You two are amazing people! This world needs more people like yourselves and there would not be many problems at all! I am in Colorado, and it has changed for the worse, not where I grew up anymore..so much crime that gets overlooked, because there ai not enough man power...you two are great!
Your Dad was legend, That is what we call Nazi, you had an encounter with a Nazi, basically, stupid, with Authority, you guys shot that little Kraut down nicely, nice job
I would look into suing that Officer and the State of Utah since they can't keep their dog on a leash. There is record of prior overzealous behaviour on the Officers part and the State has done little if anything to curb this so they are in part responsible. The State would probably not want to go to court since it puts them in a very bad light and would probably settle out of court for all costs and a little extra for the trouble and time taken fighting back.
A Utah DWR officer handed them a bogus fine from this for "illegally transporting muscles". Instead of paying the fine, they paid much more for a lawyer and the judge ended up throwing out the case for essentially being BS. This is the same DWR officer who got no reason went and shot a pet deer in someone's backyard before trespassing to go in for the kill shot. Hard to get people to come to Utah when they have to worry about officers like this
You did this cool and nice thing. Now the government is messing with you and you have to go to court. I guess it is true that no good deed goes unpunished.
Might want to put a disclaimer on this video, or everyone can just read the comments to find out the back story on the story of the boat! Makes one a bit angry especially when someone is just trying to do some good for someone else! Way to go State of Utah!
