If this is how Ruby programmers imagine themselves and others, it explains a lot. Every design decision on Ruby and Rails seems like an attempt to force you to do everything their way without thinking for yourself. It's like the Duplos of programming languages. It's what I would build if I thought I was the smartest person in the world.
2:56 Yes. I am saving these questions as I applied with a startup on Y-Combinator and I didn't quite understand what they meant by $60K-$100K + 0.5%-1%.
Hello I am in the middle of a equality spilt. This video was amazing, would love the link to get all the videos at once to understand this amazing concept 😃 thanks so much
This is PERFECT! These are literally all the questions I was having and I was facing a tough decision myself when someone really talented needed to hop aboard our company, but the equity was already sliced up. I didn't want to destroy our relationship, but I needed a more flexible way of dividing our "pie" based on contribution. This answers everything! Thank you!
So I started the Vue Mastery course and received an email with cheat sheets, it was signed Greg Pollack Chief Explanation Officer. What a cool title. So I Google this CExO and go to his twitter and find this gem of a story. Outstanding insights about trust and vulnerability. My line of work is not an office, but open communication between the boss (me) and subordinates can mean life or death. As a team it is essential that members are not afraid to speak up. We receive training on establishing open communication, but it doesn't really explain why some maybe be hesitant to speak up and how to establish open channels of communication. In 7 mins you did that. Thank you for this insight, the Vue course is already paying big dividends.
Y'all, these videos are from over a decade ago. They're not a personal attack on you for using Laravel - it didn't exist at the time. Thanks for posting these, Gregg!
This deserves more upvotes. As I attempt to learn the style of presenting - 30 minutes spent so far! - there are skilled and unskilled, but they all are important to the process. This one made me stop looking at his performances and made me look inside myself. Time stood still, and I got some tools. Thank you for sharing this.
