They did a brilliant job bringing the units back to their former glory! I just hope they do the same to one of the 201s for their 30th anniversary this year.

Great video. Brings back old memories back in the 80's , every day during the school holidays hanging out the window beside the engine , and making a ten journey ticket last about 6 months 😂😂
Great video Tom. Living 65 miles to the north, I am not fully versed in Cork's traffic management. While I love the infrastructure, would it not have been better for the 207 and 208 to continue to serve the bus station?
I enjoyed working with you Vincent too , the train from Cobh was hit and miss going to Mallow then. It's only when you were routed up no 5 you knew you were going through.
Hi Tommy i have to say your sorely missed in the railway. Now that your gone I realise how much i liked working with you. You were always in good form always positive and i really miss working with you. You were a great railway man. I was just talking about you today. Telling the story do you remember there was a woman that arrived on the platform in little island she said to me the next train from cobh I've heard is going directly out to Mallow. I told her no I'm the signal man for the train coming up from cobh and its only going to cork. You have to change trains in cork to go to Mallow. She stuck to her guns. You arrived driving the train into little island station i brought the woman up to your cab window. You told her I'm the driver of the train. This train terminates in cork station if you are going to Mallow you must change trains in cork to go to Mallow. She said to you I've heard this train is going directly to Mallow. We both told her NO!!!!!! Then she got on the train and a few minutes later you called me on the train radio and said to me. Vincent were going to Mallow.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Do you remember that?
Thanks Tom, for sharing this historic concert, from yesteryear. I am 69yo, and never knew much about who made all the great easy listening music i listened to on FM, back in the 1960s thru early 80s.
