This is the RU-vid channel of the official GAA Learning & Development Community Portal available at learning.gaa.ie.

The Gaelic Athletic Association / Cumann Lúthchleas Gael is a 32 county sporting and cultural organisation that has a presence on all five continents.

It is Ireland's largest sporting organisation and is celebrated as one of the great amateur sporting associations in the world today.

The GAA is a volunteer led, community based organisation that promotes Gaelic games such as Hurling, Football, Handball and Rounders and works with sister organisations to promote Ladies Football and Camogie. It is part of the Irish consciousness and plays an influential role in Irish society that extends far beyond the basic aim of promoting Gaelic games.

I'm right handed in absolutely everything except hurling and golfing. As a result I still use the right hand dominant to hold the top of the hurl when swinging left handed. Always wondered why my distance was so poor when trying to hit a long ball as a kid swinging left handed but holding it right hand dominant 😵. Guess the hurl doesn't have the same whip to it when the hands are reversed? Or Maybe I'm just weak 😅. Can hold my own when it comes to driving in golf though with the correct grip 😮

Defending a lead - never do it. It puts you in avoidance mode and you begin of thinking the risks of losing.

body generates testosterone when you win, that test changes your brain by creating more receiving stations in your brain for testosterone.

Minute 25 reminds me Messi in the world cup final…argentina recieved a goal and he began to fall to his knees in defeat…but just when his knees were about to touch the ground he got up…he didnt allowed himself to be defeated mentally and they ended up winning….

anyone that read the book, can you confirm if this speech is essentially a summary of the key principles?

The speech will always be supplemental and reading the book is a very good idea still.

Downsides of being visibly dominant (T fish, Oscar winner, etc.) is that you get a big target on your back. The higher you are, the harder you fall.

6 years ago, and while Paul had already tasted success, who could have thought what was about to unfold. Five All Ireland Hurling Championship titles under his belt as coach, making him now one of the most respected geniuses of the game and I am sure totally admired both nationally and internationally as one of the finest coach's of his time
