I'm a Gentile 😇 that is so captivated by the Hebrew language ~ especially Bible translation from Hebrew into English. However, this lesson is "over my head", but it's so intriguing 😊 I can't stop watching. Thank you for the time you put into your lesson videos. I'll keep watching. I'm sure I'll be able to understand something 😇 soon. Maybe a channel that teaches from a rudimentary level would be best.

Hi, Glad I found all of your teachings About the original names of Jews Is it a tradition to drop the "waw" or "hey" sometimes both in the names? Or it happened to hide something or due to persecution from the past? I can't seem to find any grammar rule that should shorten the names or proper names in Hebrew except the tradition from elders to hide something

@@dancin4yeshua The name of the successor of Mosheh Its originally spelled yod-hey-waw-shin-waw-ayin But the 2 "Waw" drops in modern or most accurately after the Babylonian captivity in some books it says to hide something or to avoid mentioning the name above all names. In the name of Yaqob too, Its yod-ayin-qoph-waw-bet but in modern it dropz the ayin and waw just use dot or pointing system Same goes with Dawid Its dalet-waw-yod-dalet Many more like the names starts with YHW, modern day dropz the "hey" and it becomes "Jo" in english In hebrew a sound is very important specially the name. Today the original names is so hidden specially when Greek took over +"J" addition to English. My question about this Those droppings of letters is because of tradition to safeguard, correct?

Your voice is pleasant. As for examples from gematria use in bible, this might be of interest to you. I'm quoting from Michael Heiser's Naked Bible Podcast Episode 387: Q&A 47 "I personally think that at the baptism of Jesus, the reference to the dove is probably gematria. The 153 fish you’ll find in commentaries. The thing with the reference to the dove, that’s a little more obscure. You’re not really going to pick that up in too many commentaries. Or I don't know any. I just came across that idea from a different source. And the issue is that the Gospel writers used a particular word for “dove” (peristeran) when they could’ve used another word for a dove, or some neutral word that could be any bird or whatever. But peristeran is the one used. And by gematria, the letters in peristeran add up to the same total as the first [and last] letters of the Greek alphabet (alpha and omega). So here you have at Jesus’ baptism a sign from the Holy Spirit that the one being baptized is the Alpha and the Omega. Again, I just don’t think that’s a coincidence. It really suggests to me that there is some of this kind of communication going on. But again, it’s Jesus. He’s real. He was really baptized. So the connection with irreality is not a necessary one, or in these cases even a coherent one."

I'm glad to see that you looked at the Rabbis when discerning the "comforter" and seen that Mashiach is, as comforter, a set-apart Spirit of Truth. . Christian's mistakenly see the comforter as a third member of some pagan trinity. But the set-apart Spirit of the comforter IS the Spirit of Mashiach coming upon believers to bare witness of Mashiach.. This points to many concepts that show how Yeshua is fulfilling the role of Messiah ben Joseph on earth as the Anointed one (passive), and then Messiah ben David from heaven where he himself is the Anointer (active) and Anoints Yisrael with the comforting Spirit of Mashiach. and in this way Mashiach is both on earth and in heaven Reigning.
@dancin4yeshua
@dancin4yeshua 4 месяца назад
Today I discovered something else. In Luke 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. The word translated as consolation in KJV and as comforter in other versions is from the same word as in John 14:16. Thanks for writing.
@Natsar-Torah
@Natsar-Torah 4 месяца назад
@@dancin4yeshua excellent discovery.. I would add that Simeon was "Awaiting Mashiach" (Consolation of Yisrael),, and the connection of the "Set-apart Spirit" upon him was the Spirit of Mashiach, bearing witness to the Truth and Comfort that comes from Messianic hope and resting in HaShem to manifest that hope to those who long for Mashiach

I agree with you brother. Also it is God expressing Himself in three realms. The earthly realm, the heavenly realm and the realm beyond space and time. So just as we are a body, spirit and soul so we generally refer to God's body as Jesus, the spirit of God as the Holy Spirit and the soul as the Father. It just seems we are dealing with three because we see Him interacting with us simultaneously from three different dimensions.

The Hebrew does not say: "wild grapes" in Isaiah. It is closer to: "fire grapes". Also, the rabbis are wrong: Each type of food in the Bible represents a different type of knowledge. "Grapes" represent: "spiritual knowledge" and "wine" represents: "a spiritual knowledge which is easier to understand". The rabbis/pharisees are the people who do not follow the word. So it is a mistake to quote them.....
@dancin4yeshua

They are quoted to show how they thought about things, not to agree with what they thought. Shalom.
@Natsar-Torah
@Natsar-Torah 4 месяца назад
by your logic, then you could not quote Yeshua, who himself was a Rabbi and likely a Pharisee of the Beit Hillel
@chicassoproductions8527
@chicassoproductions8527 4 месяца назад
The rabbis and Pharisees were said by Yeshua to have at least a righteousness that we should have because they do the lesser things of the law. Also there were Pharisees who came to faith, Paul being a famous one. It is the adding to the Torah and holding the extra biblical traditions beyond Moses that was the leaven. So again, as Yeshua said that your righteousness should be at least that of the Pharisees. Lastly just because they are blinded to Messiah doesn't mean that you can't gleam some insight from them. You can actually learn from anyone. As the Proverb goes, "Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out."

The concordance suggest its " Yahu" in modern but "Yahuw" in classical Additionally some say adding a "W" after the "U" will suggest or assumes that there are TWO "Waw" in the original forn/construction of name. Can you enlighten me, I just want to have a second opinion?

I am not very familiar with the standard transliterations (moving from the Hebrew alphabet to the English alphabet). In the TaNaKh, there are many people named both Yokhanan (Strongs #3110) and Yehokhanan (Strongs #3076) but there is no way of telling which of these would be John the Baptizer's or John the Apostle's name, as both names are transliterated into Greek the same way. And they would both mean the same thing. Thanks for writing.
